Did it rain today?

Post: # 806626Post battye »

On TV they said it was starting to rain, can someone who was at the game give an indication on how much it rained? Enough to make the ball a bit slippery?

Might've been a couple of drops, but nothing I would call rain.

The ground looked really slippery though on TV they all seemedto be slipping over.

I think the rain from last night was why it was slippery. Because at the start of the game it was sunny and hot then a few spots of rain but nothing at all.

Yes...some very light spits.

So technically it rained. But not enough to affect anything and certainly would not have affected play.

I was not at the game but the TV vision showed some very light rain in the last qtr. Players were slipping around for most of the game suggesting that there may have been rain prior to the game.

I had a BBQ in the carpark from noon. No rain.

Ground look good to me.

As to the players slipping I would suggest that there stops were too short.

Players often go with short stops as longer ones are often not as comfortable.

No rain.

Kosi slipped over 3 times in the first quarter.
So either it was a bit wet underfoot or he is a clumsy oaf.

only those blasted seagulls leaving little presents - Got my jacket----------------------
thankfully I wasn't wearing it at the time...
a few drops at end of half time...

And I thought the seagulls were annoying because they made it harder to see the footy. Sounds like they left a more lasting impact on your day :(

Only a few drops of rain. Not enough to put a coat on.

Sorry Brat, I think I might have jinxed you. Said to my husband that I was worried those seagulls were going to crap on someone.

Snap. I expected to Tippi Hedren wander onto the ground at half time.
