I have issues

Post: # 855718Post SydneySainter »

Being the off-season now, I thought I'd have a re-watch of my favourite matches from the season just passed, starting with the Round 1 clash with Sydney.

After fifteen minutes of the first quarter, I had to turn it off, as I was starting to feel sick. I guess I couldn't help but feel that I was re-living the birth of one of our club's best seasons in our long history, yet with no flag at the finish line.

I know, the grand final is done and dusted, need to get over it and move on, but the thought that it should have been ours still makes me sick. I know, I have more serious issues than I originally thought.

But, if anything, certainly makes me burn for redemption.

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

I'm with you SydneySainter. I started to watch Rd. 14 today. Didn't even make it through the first quarter; had to turn it off. I was actually having a physical reaction. It should have all been so different.

Of course it was the birth of something great, however I prefer to think that the finish line is a long way off yet...

You are a masochist.

By 5:45pm grandfinal day I had already deleted every game I had on my media server and thrown out all the DVDs.

Oh I am not talking premierships, bring them on plenty and soon. I was referring to the OP's birth of something great, and I see no reason to talk about finish lines for this era of greatness 8-)

If you thought we were going places after 15 minutes of round, you certainly do have issues. At that stage you'd think we'd be lucky to make the eight.

Should give that game a go. For me, that match was more about giving Port a thrashing that was more than a decade over-due, than about our claim for the premiership. Certainly wiped that "we're your bogey" smirk off Choco's face.

Nothing ignites the passion like that mid-season bash and crash match against the Cats!

I hope we come thundering through and make ONE HELL OF A STATEMENT in 2010!!! Go Saints! :D

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
