There's a bloke who rings up SEN about 60 times a day/night,Mark. All last week he kept going each time he rang up "boy's its a full moon,strange things happen"....then when Judd won the Brownlow,he was ringing up saying "boys,I told you,full moon,strange things happen".
Then later in the week I heard hima few times talking about the Grand Final.."It's a full moon,strange things happen,that's all I'm saying" Then he'd do a twisted laugh.
Well,he was on the money!!!

It's more than 24 hours on and I'm still can't get my head around it.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when the siren went, so I kinda did something in between.
Can't believe what I saw yesterday. Just another chapter in the st kilda football club season 2010. Who knows what will take place next week, but I'm guessing it will be something unusual

And the reaction from random people is strange too. At the supermarket the checkout girl, making conversation asked if I watched the Grand Final. My emphatic yes prompted her to ask who I barracked for. When I said the Saints she sort of went "ohhh" and looked at me like she expected me to break into tears or have a nervous breakdown or something. And all the customers beside me and around me went quiet too and looked at me as though I was supposed to say something prophetic now.....
Wierd.

The strangeness certainly fits in with our year.
If we happen to win next week, then what happened yesterday will be a wonderful step on that long, but ultimately successful journey. Just another hurdle to be overcome. Strangely fitting with the year we've had.
If we happen to lose, it will be heartbreaking that we couldn't take our chance yesterday when it presented itself, even though realistically we were lucky to get back from were we were and should have been out of it. I gave us almost no hope at half time.
On leaving the game yesterday, I was feeling very positive and like we narrowly avoiding losing a grandfinal by a point. When I got home, my husband (who wasn't at the game), suggested I think of it as halftime in the GF. So I tried to take that look at it, but I've got to say that in the cold light of day this today and watching some of the replay, its been hard to stay as positive as I was last night. I'm torn as to how I feel about it, and just praying that next week we don't view yesterday as the one that got away. Lets hope its the day that set us up for our best day yet. I'm normally so positive, but today am finding that hard.
Still think Lenny's the bet for back to back Norm Smiths. That would be strange, but fantastic.

I was a bit lost and numb for a moment and then our boys started to collect themselves, BJ laughing with the commentator and the rawness in Lenny's voice, the looks of determination on their faces. I started to build my hope and faith again.
Our boys fought and never gave up, even when the pies got in front again how many people thought we were gone? Not our boys though.
They achieved amazing things and I believe they will again this saturday.
