Wednesday's general public tickets

Post: # 1001719Post dalboy »

Does anyone have an estimate of how many, if any, tickets will be left over for sale to the general public Wednesday morning?

Impossible to know yet. It is just after 1Pm..and about 60,000+ Members are about to try and get 20K or less (depends how many that went last week cannot front up again) of tickets.

Would guess few if any though..

Word on the street was that social club sales were a bit slow this morning, but i'm sure there will be no shortage of club members jumping on.

I'd be pretty keen on finding someone with a barcode who's not using, if i were you Dalboy....

I dont think the Saints will sell their 20K and even the pies may struggle. I think the public will get a fair few.

You would imagine some that went last week..would have troble going again this week due the cost, or due to having things on.

Interstaters who came had extra expense like flights and accommodation and so harder for them to stump up again.

I am expecting some "new blood" from those that could not get into GF1.

I don't think Saints will either, but I think the Pies definetly will.

They have so many members that missed out.

True but 15k of those members are eithe AFL or MCC members so that brings the numbers down a bit. History suggests it is hard to sell out another GF.

Remember that Barcodes will be used by others besides the actual member...

If they could not be used by others it would have been a bigger ask.

Agree that it will be hard to sell out the G again.

But do think the Members allocation which will include the best seats left, and more choice of where and at what price, will go or very close to it.

I think they will have no trouble selling it out.

It's historic.

General Public will be sure to wipe out any tickets left.

AFL Reserve will definetly sell out as they have 30,000 full members, and any tickets left will be sold to the countless Silver Members.

MCC will surely sell out again.

100,000 again here we come.

+1

The 'where you are sitting' thread is already up to 8 pages. Good to see some names that did not get there last week going this week.

If this thing does not sell out, I would be EXTREMELY surprised.

Seems like all Premium Tickets are gone. If so Level 1 is full, apart from Standing Room.

All I want is a standing room ticket. I stood behind the goals on Saturday and had a good view, I am happy to stand again. Will they know how many tickets are left for the general public after all the members, etc have had their chance to purchase?
I will camp out overnight at ticketek if i have to, but I would like to know what my chances are prior.

You will also be competing with any internet and phone bokings. Though at least more chance if you want standing room as many would not be.

Not many tickets left...

Just got one a few minutes ago, only offering standard seating (nose bleed sections), restricted viewing and standing only.

All seats gone? Only standing room on offer on the Ticketek website by 1.20. Then our friendly Ticketek operative said over the phone that they had sold their last seat shortly after one o'clock. Surely that can't be right... can it?

Reports seem to be that Pies allocation completely gone.

In Saints allocation only Standing Room left.

I was already logged in a few seconds ahead of 1:00PM and got offered row DD on level 4 forward pocket.
It seemed like their may have been better avaialable so I tried again.
It took me until 1:15 PM to get back in and was offered row M on level 4 behind the goals.
I decided to take it this time.

It does not mean all seats are sold.
It only means all seats on offer today to playing club members have been sold.

Gold AFL members and MCC members get their chance tomorrow.

THEN on Wednensday it will be open slather for whatever else the AFL makes available.
As Saints fans you should be keener than the neutral fans who may not pounce immediately sales open.
We don't need neutrals buying tickets on Wednesday.
Beat them to the enter button Sainters, just as our boys will be first to the ball on Saturday.
