Dons delist Jay Neagle, Bachar Houli

Post: # 1021358Post Moccha »

Talk about knee jerk....another Voss? Come on Bucks we're waiting for you to join the other two.

Speculation this morning suggested Neagle and Atkinson had not met training standards enforced by new coach James Hird, and Hamilton confirmed as much in a statement this morning.

Houli wants out......

Hird too many just doing what was required.

Sacking the son of a Premiership player? Interesting.
Hird painting himself into a corner thinking the window is open.
Unbelievable, Hamilton and Hird, does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?

Because he hasn't been in the joint for 5 minutes and to sack someone for not coming back in A1 condition as the article states is interesting. Would he have done it to one of his top ten players if they came back unfit?

I think it's hypocritical and divisive for the team.

Neagle has all the right in the world to go into the draft. I reckon he will

At least Bucks is getting some assistant coach experience first.
But Voss and Hird have no coaching experience, just star players, media stars, who expect to be instant star coaches.
It is all about them.
The players, the team, mean nothing.
Voss and Hird are the only stars.

Neagle not only seems too big to be a valuable player but he also falls down in other areas. I have never seen a player who cannot time his run or time his jump for a ball as much as Neagle.

Didn't Lyon sack Schwarze for the same reason? I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that was the case.

forget neagle. hes another kosi.

but a YES from me for houli. he wanted out along with 10 other bombers. so its not a big deal he wants to move. the issue was raised about him to wanting to "wear a cross emblem" but ill believe that when i hear it.
he has good endurance.

check this out

So they have had how many years at being underperformers, and Hird spent how long trying to reverse the trend, 5 minutes?

It was too hard for who?

Why were they sacked? Is Neagle fat? Does Atkinson have a bad attitude? How many chances have both of them had? Too many questions for me !!

Not sure what the issue is.

Atkinson was unlikely to break into their best 22. In fact I think his only decent game was in their win against us late last year!

As for Neagle, he's got an opportunity to prove that he warrants a spot on their list. If he wants it bad enough he'll be put on their rookie list.

Unless Hird goes into the draft and recruits half a dozen rejects from other clubs he's not quite doing a Voss yet.

We don't need either of them.

Makes you wonder why they didnt trade Houli to Richmond instead of delisting him and getting nothing in return.

I think it's a bit like the Luke Ball situation.

Presumably he's out of contract and is nominating for the Draft so needs to be delisted.

Houli appears to be a reasonable prospect, but there again, so did Andrew Lovett  Personally I think we need to be calm and considered in our approach to the draft. I'd be more in favour of blooding some of our CURRENT crop of kids during 2011 rather than go for taking a punt on a delisted player.
