It could easily argued that he is the grearest.....in our second greatest era....2003-2011 he has stood head and shoulders above...has been in the afl top 5 for many years...and has twice, single handedly got us deep into finals....

He has kicked more finals goals than any other...

I rate only harvey and lockett as better.....his longevity will see him overtake big tony..

I rate him as the 2nd best ever - behind only Lockett.

Banger will never be usurped as far as I'm concerned.

I just man-love the bastard to bits.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

It's been an absolute privilege to watch him play.

Hopefully he has another 100-plus in him.

I'd still have Banger in front of Roo. But it's a case of splitting-hairs when you're talking of players of this calibre!

This milestone games comes at such a crucial point in the Saints season - it reminds me of when we had to travel to Perth for Banger's 350th at a crucial point in the 07'. Hopefully this milestone will rally the team again.

I'd expect a big response from the players this week. Lenny down and the captain's 200th - either you see a more determined effort or something is really out of whack in sainterland. The players need to show what Riewoldt means to the club and them. Time for actions.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

200 something to be proud of: Riewoldt

After arriving at the St Kilda Football Club as a skinny 18 year old in 2000, Nick Riewoldt will this weekend run through the banner and play his 200th AFL game.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Riewoldt admitted he never believed he would reach such a significant milestone.

“It’s only a number, but it’s something that when I first started, I never thought would be possible to achieve.â€

I also rate Roo ahead of Harvey, but you could probably argue the point till the cows come home. Personal choice, both champions, hope one leaves the game as a premiership player.

I dont know why and stats prove i am probably wrong and I could be accused of being biased but I actually rate Lenny ahead of Rooy.

Maybe is is the big game record. Rooy has a great record in big games bar the GF's, lenny has a great record in just about every big game.

A champion and would it have been horrible to see him at any other club. A fantastic loyal leader. With Lenny out he will have to step up yet again and be the heart of the team and I have no doubt that he will.

I still rate Harves higher, but I don't think you can compare 2 entirely different players. One silky smooth player who was so graceful to watch and the other a powerhouse and the biggest workhorse in the comp who leaves everything on the field. Harves only wins because he was my childhood hero and I always pick the silky players.

A great player and probably only a premiership away from being an all time great in the Carey mould.

Only real difference

Banger played 383 games......250 would have been outstanding....his feats, when spelled out, are hard to believe

Riewoldt has played 200 games.....130 would have been outstanding.....his feats stack up, but not as lengthy as sir robert.....the greatest imo....

stewart, baldock and tony stack up equally as players....not as long in the jumper though....

Pluggers best days were a dozen goals on two opponents

Banger 40+ possesions on two opponents

Nick riewoldt 5 goals, a dozen marks and 20+ possesions...also two opponents

Stewart controlled games out of the middle
Baldock dominated and changed games at CHF

Imagine in a perfect situation those 5 coming together

Congratulations Roo, you are a super star. You dont have to be better than Robert Harvey, you are Roo and you have been awesome for our club in your own way and the story is not over. Good luck for the rest of your career and I hope you can achieve what others havnt.
