the heroics in the last couple of minutes of these two is what sticks most in my head.

Great memories, SaintPav!

I'm sure I either attended, or watched live, all of these games!

PS beating Carlton by 100 points in '04 was sweet for some of us 'older' people

What about the other one against Brisbane? Or was that in 2003?

The one where we won 90-85 (i think). Powell had a blinder that day I remember...

I would throw in the 2009 victory over the Kangas at Carrara

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

Down by 28 pts at half time and looking dead and buried. Then we tore them apart in the 3rd with Blake kicking 3 goals.

We've also handed out a few satisfying floggings during that time:
Round 10 2004, St Kilda 31.10 (196) Carlton 13.10 (88)
Round 22 2008, St Kilda 21.21 (147) Essendon 5.9 (39)
Round 7 2009, St Kilda 20.8 (128) Collingwood 5.10 (40)

Tempered somewhat by the fact the Hawks had top four stitched...Still, was a stirring night...

Rd 10 04 at Optus Oval. Was there. Was absolutely hysterical. Drunk? Lord don't you know it....

flogging essendon by a tonne and knocking the crows outta top 4

i drove over for that game and it was great, high fiving complete strangers and all of us counting down till we knew we had over taken the crows.

i made the trip on my own and knew no one
it was made great by the game and the fans around me

all the others mentioned are great in their own right

beating the hawks with Blake in the ruck and kicking 3 quickies was great

the one where we beat the dogs in the final with roo kicking that goal off the ground

harveys 350th over in perth

beating geelong when mooney gave away the infamous in the back free away

and i know its not a win but special mention has to go to the GF draw against the filth
that was the greatest game i have ever seen live, i can only see that being beaten when we finally get a premiership

Yes. The Draw. I still can't articulate my feelings about that game, but it was a truly awesome to experience.

That effort, against a year-long dominant opponent, was as gutsy as it comes and I hope, unlike the other GF draw, it doesn't slip through the cracks of history. It deserves to be remembered.

And whilst the end result was horrible, at least I take some solace form the fact Pies people - at least the ones who surround me - generally acknowledge they were lucky to get a second shot at it a week later.

You'd never hear a Cats fan count their substantial blessings from 09. Get something other than an inaccurate opponent and a fortuitous toe poke and all of a sudden their otherwise all-conquering club is reduced to a choking laughing stock.

Inches....

Yep...agree with all of these...plus the Doggies game where we came from no where to pinch it. Was especially pleasing given all the carry on after their NAB Cup victory. I loved seeing the shot of the ugly scrays chick punching her seat when Fisher snaped that great goal. Classic.

Ahhh. memories. we will be back boys and girls. We will be back. We have been way oversold and due for a short term rally at least.

Special mention to drawn GF and all the 100+ floggings we gave the Tigers, Eagles and Blues at the Dome.

Go Saints.
