First order of business is to get Tommy Walsh sorted. Gonna be a busy evening and next couple of days for the list management and new coach I reckon.

Congratulations if true.

I think the clubs process has been well handled tbh.

Now hes got to get busy:

List - Walsh
Game Plan - changes introduced.....gonna be interesting to see how long they take to implement.
Salary cap
Draft.

No rest time Scotty....

If they've selected and signed him, why not announce him right away?

It looks as if the decision leaked 5 minutes after they made it, so why are they bothering to wait?

Anyway, good luck Scott. Unlike many on here who appear to have psychic abilities, I have absolutely no idea whether or not you were the best candidate, or whether or not you are going to make it at AFL level.

I reckon it'll be a very tough gig but i'm pretty sure that the players, fans, and everyone connected with the club will be 100% behind you. So go for it! Why not aim to equal Brad Scott's achievement and get a flag in 2012?

The club understands and are realistic enough to know it will get out...the official announcement is just a formality and for a new coach to put his philosophy and mission statement forward for the supporters and sponsors.

Good point.

Love to know who he is bringing with him and whether Harves and a couple of others will stay or move on.

The next few weeks will still be very interesting.

if i was the club i would bring in peter german as a development coach who coaches the VFL club and provides advice to watters.

max hudgton as a backline coach.

harvey probably wont stay so we need a midfield coach.

do we persist with kingsley as a fwd coach.

do we need a clearance coach?
