Also on a select list of players to have played VFL/AFL and Test cricket.

Max Walker
Keith Miller
Simon O'Donnell

Probably some other older chaps who I don't know.

More infamous as a Full Back as he got the nickname of "SCUBA" for taking the odd massive dive on the last line. Either way, the more saints in the media pumping up our tyres the better !!

That's how I remember it, too. He was a champion schoolboy full forward and when he came to us I thought he was going to be a gun.

In actual fact he might have been a bit slow for VFL (in those days) football.

Also that a young fellow named Anthony Lockett was starting to kick some goals in the reserves didn't bode well for a career as a St Kilda full forward.

And also announced today that Paul Bassatt, co-founder of SEEK.com has been appointed an AFL Commissioner starting in 2012.
Bassatt is the brother of former Saints Director Andrew Bassatt (Butters board) so may well be a Saints supporter.

Also didn't Michael Tuck get reported for striking O'Donnell (his only report in 420+ games?)?
