Who is your Favourite player who never played for the Saints but you wish did?
Mine without doubt, Bobby Skilton.

Hopefully if you ask again in 10 years time the answer won't be Tommy Walsh :(

I don't have a favourite player from another club that i wished played for the Saints, they all used to annoy me when they played well against us..

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Not exactly an all-time great, but I always found Andrew McLeod rather mesmerising to watch: such a graceful mover.

Purely in footballing terms, G Ablett Snr and Wayne Carey were astoundingly good.

Further back in time, Peter Hudson and Leigh Matthews were rather amazing too.

It took zero courage to play the way he did. Lining up players with their heads over the ball is nothing more than taking cheap shots. He would have tripled his suspensions playing for us.

I always had a soft spot for David Rhys Jones.

Absolute head case but was highly skilled and a fantastic mover. I loved watching him and Joffa Cunningham going at each other like men possessed.

Another looney I quite liked was Doc Wheildon just purely for s***s and giggles.

Greg Williams. We would have won flags in 91/92 if he was on our side.

Hated him, but if he only lived a few more miles down the road, Dermot Brereton would have been a favourite because he would have been zoned to us.

Glenn Archer - one of the toughest and most unrelenting defenders I've seen play the game.

Andrew McLeod.

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

Peter Matera
Dean kemp
Chris Mainwairing

Richo - although his sooking wouldn't have been as fun if he was playing for us

Of all the current day players, I'd take Cyril.

His skill & toughness is what i loved, its like a Cyril & Bakes combined.

You've confused thuggery for toughness...And he was no Cyril Rioli.

Agree re Cyril. Though I fear for his longevity in the game. Just keeps on twanging hammies, & is only young...

If we'd had him a few years ago, I reckon we'd have 2 more flags. That said, I can totally understand why at the time we went for Big Mac. Furthermore, I wouldn't be at all surprised if by the time both their careers are over, Big Boy's will be, at the least, very comparible with Cyril's value-wise, and hopefully also trophy-wise.

If you're going back somewhat and in no particular order... The Dominater, Dermie, Peter Knights, Lethal and Ro$$ Lyon... oh wait... :?
