Saints assistant Coaches over the journey

Post: # 1191204Post saintbrat »

who are some of the assistant coaches we have had since 'Coaching Panels' came into being?
I know Peter Hudson was, Mark Maclure,
and saw Alistair Clarkson from 1999
Colling 1998

Was Crackers Keenen ever?

welles icke, Vic Cumberland, John Smith and roy Cazaly. And Crackers did about 2 hours ruck coaching a week so he qualifies as much as Sam Newman.

More assistants than members at some clubs.
I'm told Plugger was asked to help out with Swans forwards post retirement, turned up for 1st training session saw number of coaches did a u-turn and didn't return!

Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

Pretty certain that Crackers was a part time ruck coach during Stan Alve's time as the senior coach

Craig Bradley was an outstanding assistant coach for us.

28/01/2004

St Kilda received a major blow yesterday when the club lost new assistant coach Craig Bradley.
The former Carlton star told the Saints he could not take up his job as a part-time assistant to coach Grant Thomas because of business commitments.

Wallis was another who flitted through- left just as the team boarded a plane for an O/S preseason trip

which years were these two gentlemen involved at St Kilda?
The West Adelaide coach, Andy Collins, had been a colleague of Kevin's when they were assistant coaches at St Kilda.

Craig Bradley (for about 20 seconds)
Stewie Loewe
Nathan Burke
Robert Harvey

Not a bad list off the top of your head. I wish my memory is that good. Jonas was one (a Sth Aust) I think who was there with Hinkley and the other one that came to mind was M McGuane who I think made a decent contribution to the side in the season he was there. Through circumstances he I think he got the flick when GT did although at the time the Club said he had taken up a media opportunity. He has since stated he wanted to stay. The other departure I would have liked to know 'why' at the time was Terry Danihers. I don't know why he left at the time but it seemed a bit odd to lose a former champion key position player given the number of young kp players we had at the time. As a mentor he had done it all in his time at E'don.
