Imagine how good we would be if:

1. We could kick the goals we should kick.
2. We had poise under pressure.
3. Our skills allowed us to hit spot up targets with monotonous regularity.
4. We had players that could use both sides of their bodies rather than always wheeling around on to there preferred side.
5. Our rucks could tap the ball to our advantage a lot more than they do now.
6. We just didn't kick it indiscriminately out of the centre bounce and actually had players in set positions for a quick kick out (see No 2 above).
7. If we had a tall back that could match it with the gorillas and tall blokes.

There are probably more things that I just can't think of at this time.

Having said all that, if we could only execute 1, 2 and 3 a bit better (easily doable with maybe more skills training and goal practice), we would probably be on top of the ladder with maybe only one loss.

We probably only have to improve those few things by 10 percent and then - LOOK OUT.

I think you'll find that we sometimes win more clearances than the opposition, even against the Wet Toast.
What happens after a clearance is a very poor kick or handball, to someone who is NOT in the clear,
resulting in a turnover.
Our guys are running ahead of the play, into space, ready to score,
so they are caught out; the opposition can sweep it away.

Exactly. We just need to get a little better at the little things and look out 2012 and beyond.

I couldn't believe the amount of praise being heaped on Adelaide tonight on 'On The Couch'. You would have sworn the cows had won by 20 goals instead of 4 lousy points. Talk about the saints flying under the radar.

Looking at the cows highlights we just made some bad mistakes at times, they kicked goals out of their arse and we still only lost by 4 points.
