Development Director

Post: # 1249034Post Burkey 1 »

Just changing things up a bit but I really think if we are to make an appointment for this position then we should go after Mick Malthouse.

If Mick doesn't coach carlton next year then he really should be head hunted for this very important position, he obviously gets on well with Scott and Mick does do a good job in developing youngsters, don't know what everyone else thinks but he wolud be a very valuable get to head up our academy.

I'm sure he would be near the top of the clubs wish list for the position.

Lets get a "Kicking Director" he'll be busy working with over 80% of the list.

He can have the office next to the "Head of Handball".

My guess (and it is a guess) is that the Club has someone in mind from the interviews they completed earlier this year but the one they wanted isn't available until after this season/end of year. As an example, if the Club was looking at the current coach of Port Melb but he was committed to coaching Port in the current season they might be wait until the person is available. I also remember from an earlier post that someone suggested a prime candidate was currently employed at the AIS and if this is the case he would most probably be on contract until the end of the academic year.

Mick Malthouse hates us, and has done since he left us in the 70s. He would rather eat chicken manure on toast every day than come anywhere near us. And do you think the club would want the lying egomaniac anyway???????????????

Give me someone of better character........

How about getting Primus?

Lets get Paul Roos - he should be able to impart his wisdom and intestinal fortitude on our youngsters. He obvioulsy loves us since RL left, seems a logical choice to me. Whilst we're at it - we can offer to fly him down every week like we did with Malcolm Blight??
