Saad said he was pleased to sign on with the Saints so early in the year.
“I feel really good. I’m happy to sign before round one so I could focus on my footy. It is a great honour to play for this club for at least another two years and hopefully I can be here for a long time,” he said.

“I wanted to get it done before round one. I didn’t want to worry about anything.”

As he prepared to board a flight to the Gold Coast to take on the Suns, Saad said he was itching to get back into the routine of football season.

“I can’t wait. It has been a long pre-season and I can’t wait to get into it,” he said.

“Watching the footy last night makes it a little more exciting.”

Refreshing to see a player sign a contract at the start of a season. Hopefully 2013 is a big year for him.
