Just flicked on Melbourne vs North at Etihad.
Appears Level 3 is closed. Would save a fair bit of money/reduce losses.
IMO we should look at doing the same next season.
For those of us who have reserved seats on level 3 they'd need to find seats for us on Level 1 or 2, but I'm sure something adequate could be arranged.
Lets face facts - our crowds will be poor next season and we need to save a dollar whenever practical.
Thoughts??

Re: Closing level 3 at Etihad for small drawing games
In the past theyve closed some of the snack bars on L3 for poor drawing Saints games..bit annoying as the one they close is right next to the Wing..but I dont think they'd consider shutting the level full stop. People pay for those seats in the knowledge that they'll be there for every Etihad home game.

I like level 3. I would be prepared to move to level 2 for a small fee (paid to me). I'd be surprised if any savings would go to the club anyway. The AFL should bite the bullet and make an offer for the ground (that they will eventually own anyway) and then split the proceeds amongst all clubs who play there and tell Essendon to drop dead or suspend them for forty years.

A bit embarrassing when 2 Vic teams have that small crowd that they can shut the top tier
I love this club

I am happy with our level 3 reserved seats; absolutely disgusted that Etihad Stadium management choose to punt on the crowd size, get it wrong and don't have enough catering on the level 3 wing to cater for members who have already stumped-up extra for reserved seats.
You cannot sell season reserved seats then close off level 3. Simple as that.
