AFL trade chat has rumour, Tommy Bugg wants out of GWS???

Would you be happy with Bugg & Bruce for Fisher and pick 21????

He's an absolute gun though and could easily move into a mid role. He was amazing first year and like Toby Greene had a bit of second year blues but has a grade potential.

185cm / 78kg bit small for KP but a gun defender!!!

Might as well start building a solid defence, seeing as its gonna get hammered for the next 2-3 years!!! LOL

I think hes a potential midfielder.
If you cant produce your own rising star nominations - import them!
Hes a local boy of sorts (Pakenham)

Bugg and Bruce for 21 and Fisher.
Borderline - but yeah - id take that.
Not sure why they would do that as it loses them players and gains them draft picks. The opposite of what they want.

It sounds like a home sickness issue again. I would do Fisher and a pick for him to get the deal done. He is one of their best 10 players and in his first year best 5 players.

Don't ruin my fantasy of getting the Bugg in. He's already signed in my mind.

I guess they will be adding Mumford, Fisher… maybe Shaw, also have to reduce their list…

They may use a couple of picks to trade more mature talent in.

We used to have all players beginning with "G" Goddard,Gram,Gwilt,Gilbert....
Maybe now we can start with the "B"s ?

Bugg, Bruce and then Boyd for pick 3 !!

Now we're talkin' :-)

When I read the headline i was very excited!
Disappointed to see its just a rumour and highly unlikely that we get him.

Sounds like Tommy has plenty of respect on the boards here. If he is ready to come back to melb. and he has genuine talent absolutely we would love the Buggman at St.Kilda. Just watched an interview of him and he presents as a well considered and level headed guy.

I think St.Kilda are far from starting from scratch and already have a nucleus of truely promicing young players including Ross; Wright; Curren; Simpkin; Newness; Roberton & Hickey. The right additions now will make all the difference. I remember when Rooey and Kosi arrived @ the club @ the same time - the excitement level went up a few levels pretty quick.

Make a play for Tommy Bugg Saints!

He isnt a gun at all. he is another player who hasnt made it yet. At least he is younger than some of the other hacks that get mentioned with our club.

This list makes me sad when I think of Swallow, Bennell, Prestia, O'meara, McKenzie, Dixon, Smith & Lynch

I'm thinking of the potential at the right club dragit - i'm also assuming we are the right club to bring out the best in these young Saints.
Or with a few super inclusions (come on step up Pelican) it will all knit together into something special. I can't afford to feel sad about our young players but i guess you're saying our recruiting brains need to really do it this year.

GO SAINTS! :)

He seems to get more of the ball than ( for example ) Wright, but he's no Jarryn.
However it has come to my notice that since the last wave of delistings we have room for another Tom.

It's kind of like we have hired the support staff… and we're just starting the interviews looking for stars for the lead roles.

All in good time.

Would be happy to get him. Don'have a heap of defenders who play small. Geary and Webster are our only real natural ones. Wright will hopefully move into the midfield at some stage.
