Can our COO be our CEO also? (Essendon new model)

Post: # 1426440Post saintspremiers »

That other club that lost a lot of money will not have a CEO in 2014.

Instead their COO will cover both roles with Little stepping up further.

Maybe this is a good model for us given our finances.

If we have the right COO in place then we effectively run the club as if it's in administration by an accountant type for a year and save half a million in labor costs.

Thoughts?

No! Paul Little is effectively President & CEO, a terrible decision for any organisation. Little's been off his game since 2006.

Exactly.

A board is meant to provide governance. You need separation.

Without that you get temptation....and potential corruption. None of which worries the EFC.....

Didn't Brisvegas have a COO when Lethal Leigh tried to unseat the incumbent board?
