Nate Wright - what went wrong?
Was a superstar got injured recovered but then was crap.
Or didn't he fully recover?
Did he go mentally softer at the ball?
Will we see his hardness and gut running again in 2014???

Re: Nate Wright - what went wrong?
He certainly was or is no superstar.....................saintspremiers
showed promise...good pace /had a real dip
injured......form/confidence appeared to drop a bit
is only 19 so form will be up and down
showed promise but requires time/experience/hard work just to cement a spot
worry about your superstar claim in the future
talk about unreal or unfair expectation on your behalf at this stage

You can only physically go softer at the ball surely.

Lance or James??

Didn't he play several games for Sandy at the end of season though?Con Gorozidis wrote:Surely this post was a wind up.

So whats your point. Didnt Dal play at Scorps in his first year. Wasnt Milne a supplementry player at Essendon. Wright gets injured and comes back in the reserves. Seems very normal to me.

Re: Nate Wright - what went wrong?
Maybe I underestimated his ability to recover or the extent of his injuries but his form for Sandy was way below that to his early season form.plugger66 wrote:saintspremiers wrote:Didn't he play several games for Sandy at the end of season though?Con Gorozidis wrote:Surely this post was a wind up.

Anyway if he's as good as this time last year it will be massive.

Re: Nate Wright - what went wrong?
Hopefully he will come good and be wright this season.
Poster formerly known as SENsaintsational. More wisdom. More knowledge. Less name.

You ever had a broken jaw, then an ankle and back injury, all in the one season, then put your head over the ball?saintspremiers wrote:Ok sorry that's what I meant and no it's a legit thread he was fantastic pre injury but never came back into the 1s only the 2s.joffaboy wrote:how can you mentall go softer at the ball?

No me neither, so how could you or I possibly know how to go about it?
Players aren't machine straight off the production line. They just dont come back and play exactly the same every single match, especially after physical injury.
I could start a thread, Sam Gilbert, what went right, because after his extended lay off the last four games of the season by him were amongst the best he has played for the club.
Facts are, players get injured, lose condition while injured, then maybe lose form or are playing with a bit of a restriction when they come back.

Young Nate will be a ripper for us, he could easily get a Rising Star nomination if his injuries are under control.

Re: Nate Wright - what went wrong?
We were about 3 meters away from Nate when he got flipped over against the Bulldogs, we thought he would be going home in a wheel chair- his spine went on the most unnatural angle I have witnessed.

Re: Nate Wright - what went wrong?
He's going to be a really solid player for us. Great speed and attack at the ball.
