Mal Michael
Did anyone see the interview tonight on Open Mike?
He was asked about the ancient incident with Roo.
I though he handled it well, and showed a perfectly decent amount of remorse, and agreed that what happened was not part of our game.
Then he was asked what his coach thought. He said he didn't know. But then said that if asked to guess, he reckoned Leigh would have been quietly pleased. That his boys had done the job.
Which he said with a great big smile on his face.
Maybe I'm too precious, but for me that undid all of the previous 5 minutes of lip service.
It was a dog act. Mike described he and Chris Scott as something akin to a couple of hyenas. It's a shame he is still right.

Take some consolation from his last game of AFL.

Agreed. Thought it was all remorseful and good until that big grin. Only remorse was that he didn't look good doing it and copped it from supporters. Looking at the vision again though, the bigger hit came from Chris (?) Scott after Hamill tried to intervene. Hamill was pretty useless during the exchange wasn't he?SemperFidelis wrote:Did anyone see the interview tonight on Open Mike?

A certain injury in that game cost us the 2009 flag.

Was he? Smack one of the Scotts during that quarter and knock out his front tooth.
As for the Roo incident, wasn't as bad as people make out. Not in the spirit of the game maybe but Riewoldt should have come off when hurt, not waved the trainer away. (My opinion of course).
You are garbage - Enough said
Re: Mal Michael
Purely during that exchange when Michael & Scott are going at Riewoldt like rabid dogs, Hamill was ineffectual in his 'flag waving'. Obviously not saying that he was always like that, but those two blokes nullified him pretty easily and it looked like Michael had his measure.

The scoreboard kept showing the "Live ladder" as our percentage closed in on Adelaide who were in 4th spot.
We eventually passed them during the last quarter to rapturous applause.

Sean Dempster did his knee. Played in the GF which was a great effort but was not at his best.kosifantutti wrote:Who got injured?SaintPav wrote:We should have won that game by 150 points.kosifantutti wrote:Take some consolation from his last game of AFL.
