Saad article in The Age

"Of course. It would be great to go back and be a part of the Saints again and be with the boys again," Saad said. "But unfortunately I'm in a circumstance where I can't really close any doors, so I'm happy to go anywhere."

Saady is obviously hungry enough for another opportunity, there's no question about that, but I'm not sure we should pick him up again given the direction we are heading with youth.

Draft day always seems to have one or two surprises, I hope Saady is one of them, he deserves a second chance.

Worth another chance I reckon. A good chance that he had a bit more improvement in him at the time he was rubbed out- senior footy experience, good around goals and he aint exactly old.

I still struggle to reconcile his sanction vs anything that we think EFC might get.

Just a case of Arseada playing the show pony - hoping someone would pay attention to them. Unfortunately their arbitrary and irrational 'punishment program' was devoid of any natural justice. To continue to try and grab headlines by seeking to press for 'maximum' penalties just looked dumb.
I expect nothing worth talking about on the consequences of the now famous institutionalised syringe program at essendon.
The arseada folk would need to be asking for 10 year bans to demonstrate they have some handle on something approximate to natural justice.
Cant see this happening so in the washup apparently the worst drug cheat we can imagine has to be Ahmed Saad of coarse who drank a 'performance enhancing' (?) soft drink from the milkbar and deserved 'THE MAXIMUM PUNISHMENT'.

Often the wrong people are attracted to power.

The problem is Saad was caught by drug testing - open and shut case.

Meanwhile Essendon thought they would get away with Thymosin Beta 4 injections because it is a naturally occurring substance in the human body.
They can never prove it Essendon thought. They forgot about comfortable satisfaction.
Essendon did not expect to get caught out by way of ASADA tracking of people's behaviour.

No thanks. But I hope he gets another chance elsewhere.

I hope Ahmed gets picked up but not by us. I think we've probably moved on.

Our reputation isn't great anyway but you were pretty happy to back Milne to the hilt.
