Be interested in your thoughts at the end of the game re Lee as a senior player defender

Qtr time 5.4 to 1.4. About a three to four goal breeze. Sprung up a bit.

Best Brown. Saints. Lee, Saunders seen a bit of Eli, Mckenzie has shown some nicethings. A big mRk over Goddard a terrific run down. Not much of Acres or Spencer White

Acres hyper extension of the right knee. Seems OK. 7.6 to 4.6. Scrappy qtr wifh the wind. DMac showing a bit. Hickey throwing himself about. Eli getting it. Webster blowing hard when he comes to the bench. White.Well has done nothing.

Seems to read the play well. Spoils well is good bow the knees and is accurate kick. Developing nicely. Will never take a monster but may play a Dempster Fisher type role. I go down our backline and have a good look at him and Goddard this qtr

Currently watching our backs. Lee getting beaten by his opponent. Giving him too much space. However is running off him when Sandy attacks.
Payne seems a likely type. Staying with his man and contesting well. Simpkin havent seem enough.

Goddard will be a player. Just looks like a natural defender.

Caveat. They are defending against a howling gale.

Noted CJ's hair when he wore the Essendon jumper at Morwell. He is transitioning from an AFL-contracted player to a VFL warrior; obviously the blond tips are expensive.

I don't mind it. Could be worse, he could be using Bruce Jenner as his role model :D .

Nearing 3 qtr time 12.10 to 5.8 Goddard and Simkin going well down back. Acres in everything buta bit sloppy. DMac continues to show good signs.Webster a lot of poise and a beautiful kick in the conditions. Eli and Lee both prominent. Freezing cold and blowing a gale. Will watch the forwards next qtr

What players of the ones playing today for Sandy would have been in NZ? Hickey, Acres & Saunders I think went to NZ. So they would have flown back in late yesterday to be able to front up today............... plus add in the flight over to NZ. Not the best preparation for playing a match today is it?

I get the feeling the Acres is a similar player to Polec at Port.

Acres stands out. Is he playing in the middle?

Dowbn by 10. Last post. Acres and Eli look good. Goddard down back continues to develop. Webster did some nice things in defence. DMac the best of the Saints players. Tom Lee wont ever make it as a forward. Sandy top eavy with Holmes Pearce and Hickey in the same team . Good news is Acres Eli and Goddard all developing well
