Loved his work over the years but he's not in it imo. Savage I'm still not convinced.

Back on topic, Joey time to commit or move on, we can't afford some of these non-efforts and mistakes at critical times.

Personally i'm pissed we dropped minch for Sav this game. Sure Minch goes missing but he's a great user and his few normally are quality and lead to positive outcomes. also he is a pressure machine.

He does make some annoying mistakes , but he's a keeper for the moment.

Just watching the replay. Can't underestimate how important he is to the kids. Before they walked up the race onto the ground he was getting around every single player. Granted he's had a couple of less than spectacular games in the last few weeks but he is still so important to the group.

True. Good post. He goes missing in important plays. I felt both his 2009 and 2010 finals series were lacking and that was during his prime, so seeing him be a spectator now while the kids are developing and making the match winning plays themseles is a bit disappointing.

Sure. He does that well but he needs to show this in the main plays onfield and he rarely does that. In interstate games he is really poor unfortunately.

I agree, Joey has been playing bruise free footy for the last 6wks and his decision making is absolutely terrible.

Has been a terrific servant for the club, but I think this year should be his last.

Have loved Joey over the years but I do think this should have been his last year.
His kicks are beginning to show a distinct lack of penetration.
Club see it different though as he's contracted to play next year

Good clubman but the way the team is developing by playing next year he will delay the development of another kid's career. The great Harvs had a lot more upside in his last year in 2008. Played a pretty good finals series and still retired. Montagna was always an outside player but now he really stands out with his soft bruise free footy.

And yet he copped a cork quad. He was never as good as some imagined and he is not as bad as others (or the same people) imagine now. He is playing a different role and I think he is playing it well, as experience counts.
