Gillan comes from the polo set if you get my meaning. Andrew's protege who probably had connections to get initial AFL job. Then he played his cards right and had a dream run into one of the country's most high profile jobs.

Never met him but from my little indirect interaction I had with him he comes across a bit snooty and up himself.

Comes across as a tosser if things aren't going his way. You can picture him being a boardroom bully! Should have gone down for his role in the Essendon debacle. If you read chip Le grands 'the straight dope'...he comes across looking dirtier than most of the key dons. personally hate his type! Him and Fitzpatrick are a real pidgeon pair!

Thats the only thing he has going for him that he is a Saints fan. He is just a muppet, couldnt make a strong decision if his life depended on it. He and Demetrio and Fitzpatrick have over seen the most corrupt 15 years the competition has ever known. I could also argue:
We got shafted when Jackson sold Waverly out from under us and did Hawthorn a massive favour - untrue of course but...
Oakley a saints player deliberately snubbed us to avoid being accused of favouritism, set up the interstate expansion which (ok most) here believe to be the reason for our lack of success
