Just a bit of trivia to the draft groupies on this site. :wink:

GWS have indicated that Pick 13 was to be used in the Lids trade to Richmond if it had of landed with them via the Blues in the Gibbs deal had of gone down.

GWS were going to trade it to the Tiges and this is why that deal went down so late. Once the Gibbs deal was definitely off Plan B was used instead.

So the Saints swapping picks to upgrade to 13 was never really on.

Well Geelong did not have 13...it was/is Adelaide's pick.

We were trying to get an earlier pick of GWS (and possibly suns) and so it had to be linked to GWS in some way.
