I cannot see the rush to recruit McGlynn as an assistant coach, when the club were aware that Sam was retiring. He has held our defence together for years.

Remember him playing a lone hand in the drawn Grand Final in the first half...basically kept us in it til the rest of the team woke up.

I think t's indicative of the fact the club won't be putting him on as a coach, for whatever reason. I thought he'd get a role similar to what Schneider did when he was rookied. That looks as though it's off the agenda.

Well done Sammy Fisher. A great player for the Club, over 10 years of being a consistently fine player and one of the best defenders going around. It saddens me to see another player from that group retire without a Premiership.
