Things getting Long & Longer

Post: # 1658640Post loris »

AFL site has the squad for Brissie match including Long & Longer

Roo to return, plus Sinclair.

Interesting to see who actually gets a game. Few ifs & buts in the squad....... no Armo

Do they really need to rush Rooey back? Shows how important they think this game is.

You would think they need to get another mid in for Steven so that would be Sincs. If they want Rooey in maybe either Acres goes out (gulp please no) or Webster (named on the bench)

Lonie played well last week so would be stiff to get pushed out for Long. You get the feeling Richo loves Longs's tough attitude and speed but can't see him coming in this week. Hickey would keep his spot you'd think unless they want to try some rotation and give Billy a go.

Long in w a bullet!

Love the bench. I would keep them all and drop a few on the field.

Disconcerting to see McCartin on the bench. Does he have concussion???

We would not want to lose against the Lions as the three games after that our crucial to our season.

All we need now is to recruit a Longest. Then we'd have the full set!

Like! I was calling for these.
Longer in to compliment Hickey in the ruck - and to allow Hickey to drift into the backline or rest forward as needed. Bruce in the ruck was robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Long will come in to cover Armo and Steven in the midfield. The Lions are like Collingwood in that the one strength they both really do have is their midfield. Can't see Roo playing, too much of a risk for mine.

Good to see Sinclair back. He will go alright in the midfield and can kick a goal too.

I still think a full back line of Long Brown Rice is a real possibility...

Nowadays, the positions of the players named on a Thursday night bears no resemblance to who will play or not play. Means nothing.

I can't see them dropping Acres so it probably be Webster or Savage that makes way for Roo and Sinclair for Steven.

There was footage of Roo trying to kick the ball during the week, it wasn't pretty.

I would have thought no hope, and even if he was 70% why would you risk him. The game can still be won without him and then he gets another week to recover

To me the risk is he comes back we win and he aggrevates the injury and misses more, then we really up up the creek

Hoping they rest Nick unless he's 100%,
so would like these from interchange
Blake Acres, Jack Billings, Ben Long, Jimmy Webster, with Paddy/Nick.

Playing games.
Game day, Roo out, Paddy in.
Named to upset the Lions planning. Shades of last game.
Get em worried.

Martin Short? He could do the aftermatch entertainment. It might mean having to add Bill Shorten to the list for balance. Notify he brings his wife, though.

Hope you lot who vote Labor understand that could mean Bill Shortfuse being PM.

I don't think even drinking a keg of Hawke's Lager could help me get over that.

I saw a bit of footage of Roo kicking the ball. The wince was more than noticeable.

He won't play in my opinion.
