Well, for the sake of locker room chat, if Billings told the Saints at seasons end that he wants to go to the Lions, I think Billings, Dunstan plus one of either Hickey or Longer for their first pick would make it interesting.

Interesting post. Brisbanes first pick for Billings and Hickey? I think Billings is going to be a great player for us or another team. His good gamess are very good. Hickey wasnt great against Swans but hes a good player and seems to be getting better. If this post is on the mark Its good to see another club rates Hickey so highly, unlike some on this forum.

Billings is a proven performer and is young and will be a star. He obviously has had an awful 2018, but if he can get some form in the second half of the year he has big currency.
I would say him and next years 2nd rounder for Brisbanes first rounder.

Billings has shown flashes of brilliance and quality, but I reckon his development has been disappointing. Hard though to assess him in the context of our current miasma. So many of our players have gone backwards, so just as likely his indifferent development is the result of the current coaching regime as it is him not being the player we hoped for. Billings won't be going anywhere. It will achieve nothing. He will start hitting his peak in 2-3 years. I would be majorly pissed if they decided to get rid of him. He has had an ordinary year as have heaps of players. Time to move on and try rectify it for the rest of the year and make 2019 a winner.
