They did ok at the World Cup in soccer. Actually, what am I talking about...they dominated. I think half the French team were of African origin. Same with close to half of the English team. Who would've thunk that 30 years ago?

whereas asian teams did much better than african teams - in all three groups they were matched the asian team finished higher. japan made ko stage, no african team did.
sad to say australia were the worst performed asian team. not unexpected tiven we were the last place qualifiers.
