I thought last week was bad. This was even worse! Close to the worse effort I have ever seen as a supporter. The club should be ashamed! Damn ashamed!
List is overated but the kicking is shocking . If they could improve kicking efficiency and effectiveness just 20% they would be a lot more competative.
Wasn't this the test of Richo having or not having the players. How much evidence is required - reasonable doubt, smoking gun, confession? For heavens sake put the man out of our misery!

Spot on.
A coach can always be replaced, but bad recruiting leaves a lasting and sorry reminder and it's something you're stuck with. Need to nail the recruiting above evrything else.
I'd allocate 90% to get the best recruiters and only 10% to coaches (who are just benificiaries of good recruiting,anyway - I don't rate any of them - some just get paid more than others, that's all).

Yep, Pelican was a disaster, all the teams that did top up rebuilds like Geelong, Hawks and Sydney are still up towards the top end. The bottom out with no priority picks right in the middle of when Gold Coast and GWS were getting most of the front end of each draft wheel watering down the talent that was there is insanity. He sold us snake oil and we drank it. Having Trout as our recruiter who was just a left over assistant coach and not a recruiter was bizarre as well. I just can imagine why it took so long to oust him.
Ameet was worshipped despite having the easiest job in footy, keeping paying minimum cap spend, still managed to give 2 year deals to players who had one good match then move on others who got little opportunity.
My fear is we are such suckers for a new messiah, that Letchlean will come in and stuff his pockets and grope his way through the cub and leave when a better offer turns up.

With some questionable player match ups could the case be made that maybe the coach doesn't want to win anymore games this year .
Currently we are on pick 5 but this could be 6 if carlton get a P.P.
Maybe they're hoping the suns and lions win one more and we'll end up with pick 2 or 3.

An AFL coach with a 33% win ratio after 100 games is so confident in his future and reputation he can afford the luxury of tanking?
