OK. He's not a ruckman and IMO he's no full forward. Why is he playing ?

What's the alternative you ask ? Anybody is the answer. Kosi kicked 30 goals last year. Not good enough to have his name etched in the full forward hall of fame. Get adventurous ! Put Roo at full forward, put Goose at full foward, put Gilbert at full foward, put Mickey bloody mouse there. Just chang...

Full Forward. My backside.

Righto you guys. Time to put your cards on the table. In most posts I've read there seems to be an over whelming thread to place Kosi at full forward for the 2009 season. WHY ? Are we that desperate ? Did he create such a good impression last year playing as the second tall forward ? Are we just loo...

Not good enough at the moment for CHB. Give him a go at full forward for the next couple of practice games and see how he goes. God knows we need some one down there.

Kosi at FF ? Haven't we seen enough. It doesn't work people. Keep him away from the goals and give some one else a go. Anyone else. Cahill, Lynch. Goose, Goddard, Fisher, Clarke. Anyone !!!!

Jones looks to me to be the number one tagger in the team. Not blessed with skills, but he can run, tackle and is tough. He'll be hanging off Judds coat tails when the two sides meet and will free Bakes to play himself back into form in the back pocket or HBF.

First real hit out for 2009, so expect a lot of indifferent skills. Add the weather conditions and we looked like having some testing times. Ruckmen looked great: BJ will win our B&F and will be our next captain:Milne looked our ONLY dangerous forward: Heyne, Steven, Ray showed enough to give su...

Don't care whether the kids get their tickets or not. I want the DVD.
Rolled over in November. If you can't get it right, do fluckin do it.

Team of The Century (Part 2)

Browsing through "Heroes with Haloes' this morning and got to wondering about the 'Team of the Century' and how many changes might be made if the squad was selected today. Obviously Riewoldt was the first player to come to mind. An automatic inclusion. But takes the place of who ? Breen, Jim Ro...

The fact that he 'can't kick' is of little concern to me. Neither can any of the forwards we currently place our faith in. (Ok. Maybe Roo is the exception, but he doesn't fill me with confidence the way G or Plugger used to). Kosi, Milne, Schnieder, Allen all toss a coin before they have a set shot ...

What a great post. Present players/Coaches - Milne - because he wount't let the conversation die Gardiner - What stories he could tell Lyon - Might finally tell us the game plan Past Players/Coaches Thomas - Would tell us why he really got sacked. Alves - Would tell us why he really got sacked. Blig...

Max to the forward line ?

I've just consumed my 7th beer and can't help but feel that our 2009 campaign is based on Max leading the defense from FB. OK. he's probably the best back man of 2008, but he is now in his last year. RL has spoken about the search for the next Hamill. Put Max down forward and feel the passion once m...

Reiwoldt is a champion and probably the best player in the competition. No, I'm wrong. He is the best player in the competition. We as St Kilda folk expect far too much from him. We surround him with very average support and expect the world. Get the mix right and the captain will get his wish of a ...

No. Maybe it's a matter of he wasn't good enough to make the PF side. So he's the first to go. Don't care if BH had a temper or not. Would love a forward with a bit of spit in him at the moment. We don't have one. RL says he wants some one like hammill. It's like saying we will let Plugger go but re...

Improvement in all aspects of a footy club.

Lots of posts about our recent draft selections and whether they will be good enough to make the grade. But what about those not so new to the game. Like what King has given to the club in a short period, but can he survive in a game that is getting quicker ? Is Gardiner a better option or do we fin...

We can only hope. My brother is a mad bulldogs supporter. Not disappointed that Ray has left the kennel. Disposal skills suspect. It's a real pain in the arse, this drafting gig. Take a player with speed and he can't kick over a jam tin. Look at a player with silky hand and foot skills and he's dism...

Let's have a good look at the new guys and see what our drafting team has given us. Kosi is not a full forward and we are only fooling ourselves by assuming he will line up in that spot in 09. Give Gwilt, Cahill, McEvoy, Dawson or Goddard a go. No good having our elite players running through the mi...

2008 is dead and buried. We are as good as bet as any other team in the competition. I don't give a rats arse what dribble is sprouted in the pre season. The draftees look good. I know Blake is getting on, but I still think is is in our best 15. Can play down back at CHB or even FB. Can play through the mid field as a ruckman or tagging midfielder. (Remember he has given both Cousin's and Crawford the run a round in the past 18 months. No slouch when it comes to gut running...
