Re: Freeman in VFL 2nds this week
Spoke to Gim at the HOF dinner last night, he had a smile from ear to ear. He said he pulled up fine, albeit he will be sore for a few days. He wanted to play in the last quarter but they wouldn't let him get back out. Great kid great news, hopefully he can go from strength to strength, much luck t...

Re: Luke Dunstan
it was good to see him play a good one yesterday His courage and endeavour has always been great but in the first couple of games this year he not only didn't get a lot of ball, but his disposal and decision making were pretty average My recollection from his first year was that he was a pretty clev...

Re: Gresham
great post The Other Thommo
it's a bit of a worry that we've taken mostly small mids in recent drafts (Lonie, Sinclair, Gresham) but at least they all have natural football ability and brains
recruiting gazelles isn't a great policy if they can't kick or win a contest

Re: Permission to train
can't imagine the VFL players are there as potential recruits, more as plugger suggested, a gesture towards the Sandy partnership and assistance for their development program
probably also useful to have some extra bodies for drills/simulations before the full group is back

Re: Lonie & Sinclair
great post Mickey, great Saints passion!! Really impressed by these two Jacks this year, though in the Sinclair camp at the moment. Was a little bit concerned with his disposal/decision making after seeing some preseason vision but that was not apparent once he got to the ones. He's a solid unit, re...

Re: Acres should never play vfl again
Aaron Hamill couldn't hold back the superlatives!
"Q: What did you think of Acres performance in the 3rd and 4th?
AH: He was OK. He looked to use his legs. He's another one we need to get games into."
oh well at least it seems they want to play him!

I was wondering the same thing, the club seemed to have decided it isn't worth doing anymore....
was always interesting to have a look at who was playing well (or being overrated) in the VFL

agree with all of the above, had some big doubts after being impressed by him in his first few outings
great to see the marks sticking tonight, get that big boot on line and he'll be really dangerous!

Re: VFL Rd 2 - Sandringham Vs Box Hill
Murdoch was quiet, Minchington seems surplus to requirements, Holmes is obviously not ready yet. Those three could be in the frame. Hard to see anyone else going down - I imagine there'll be a couple who pull out of the seniors for "general soreness" so there won't need to be too many dro...

Re: Open training - Junction Oval - 5:30pm, TONIGHT
don't know that the thrill has gone, seeing a 'celeb' in person is quite different to seeing them on the telly. yesterday was just a marketing move to tie in with launch and we are the Peninsula campaign, club got on the telly, good enough.
