I was wrong about our not being in the hunt for O'Meara.

Re: Dunstan
Sorrry but no: all relevant stats, shepherds, pressure acts etc are tabulated obssessively. You won't get too much support for your Dunstan plug until, at the very least, he learns how to kick. His endeavour is first class but his skills are well behind.

Re: Why do people want to trade Longer?
He was poor for most of last year. He has a poor leap, average technique and didn't give us first use. Round the ground at the drop he was even worse. He can't find the ball on the ground and when he does his disposal is average at best. He couldn't take a mark forward or back and is too slow. His o...

Re: JACK STEELE!!
Delusional. Think you'll find that other clubs in the bottom half of the 8 have indicated their preparedness to trade their first pick for him and a pick between 30 and 40. I'd be happy with this year's first round pick and next year's first round pick for Steele and Marchbank and a single 18-22 pic...

Re: Billy Longer and Lewis Pierce two year extensions
Given the player has to agree to the trade if they're contracted, there is no restriction.Winmar wrote:Is there no restriction on trading someone within 12 months of signing a contract? I thought there was, but maybe I'm thinking of clubs selling players in the EPL. Or I could just be wrong entirely.

Prestia going off line to get some knee clean up. JOM might play another game in a couple of weeks. Wonder if we are in the game with either. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-07-19/year-over-for-suns-mid-jaeger-hits-another-hurdle Don't know about Prestia but we're not in the hunt for JOM. Re: Any interest in Will Hoskin-Elliott?
He is quick and he's great overhead but not really a midfielder. He's played all his best footy, to some degree, in front of the ball. Unfortunately we will not secure him with a third round pick alone and therefore it would have to involve one of the usual scenarios... exchange of picks, multi-club...

If he came as a FA and cost us absolutely zero and we could afford him - ok But he is not someone I'd give up something for Marchbank would be my #1 target Steele, Ahern, O'Meara - also I'd be willing to look at trading for any oth those Pick 9, Longer, Murdoch, Lee, Gilbert Looking at delisting Cu...

There's no way we will be taking 4 rucks into next year. The club has to make the call on Holmes at the end of the year for one thing.

Re: Best game from a St Kilda ruckman for decades
We're not good enough to afford the luxury of playing two ruckmen. I can see Pierce turning out once or twice again this season but he has a long long way to go to get any sort of spot. His only real asset is his aggression, although he is getting much better at positioning himself. After 4 seasons ...

Re: St Kilda applies for a Womens Football team
Completes a great quinella for the week with shelving our stand-alone VFL team. Still I'm sure we did our best but were overlooked because we don't have the money as a result of being shoehorned into Etihad by the AFL. In the meantime, like every other St Kilda supporter, I'll just have to find anot...

Extraordinary effort by the boys. They looked done at the end of that half. So tough when 8 or 10, if they get the ball in space cannot find a team mate by foot.
If only either of Ross or Duncan could kick.

So you know for a fact the Gilbert is playing unaccountable football? So you're privy to his role each week? Who did he play on this weekend, what was his role? Re: Changes v Blues Rd 12
Not sure whether it's been raised here but you'd think that there would be some chance that Holmes would come in and allow Hickey to rest up forward. Equally I wouldn't be surprised to see Bruce go back for two or three games until our KPD's return. If that happens I'd expect that we would set up sm...

Agree 100% with that. What I can't work out is why theg sent him back when he can't and doesn't defend and he's slow. He only comes in if Roberton is out.

Well, I just reckon Richo hasn't got a clue, can't think out of the box and seems welded to whatever wobbly game plan he may have. The team is undisciplined basically, not well-drilled and has a woeful defensive game. I want to see the light, and I was expecting a slight improvement on last season,...

Re: Changes v Blues Rd 12
Whatever happens we have to add some pace. We are rivalling Collingwood as the slowest side in the comp at the moment. Lonie should come back in and so should Templeton who has the added advantage of playing midfield. We can't keep playing Armitage, Dunstan and Ross in the middle together. Being phy...

We're nowhere near the teams that have beaten us and we've injury problems tonight. Blaming the coach is ridiculous. If you must scapegoat start with the recruiting department. We're v slow and our skills are poor.

Re: Blues, Saints target key Giants defender
Unlike others I was happy with trading down our pick last year. Again this year there are many academy players we cant't get in the top 20. I'd be v happy to get Marchbank and slip a place or 5. Carlton will not be trading pick 3,4 or 5 for him.
