Re: List cloggers.....who are they?
Clearly Lonie, Weller and Wright. I for one hope Monty stays for another year. Even if he plays mostly seconds or moves into a Sam Mitchell player/coach role for 2018. He is the last of the successful core from 2009/10 and the group could still use his leadership and professionalism. Look at North ...

Re: Farewell Lonie
He really shouldn't have been picked. we went in with one too may small forwards and didn't replace any height in the back line where White should have replaced Gilbert. Instead, Geary goes down and Mav has to try and play back as White is not playing. This is our match committee for you. Th...

You can't be serious. Watched any of Weller or Lonie's efforts this year?Ellaandjohn wrote:Think the match committee know exactly what they are doing. When has a decision cost us a game this year?

Re: Is our Match Committee f#%king drunk???
And we're back. Thanks Match Committee - failed midget with a trick bag Lonie for Gilbert. There's a like for like. Maybe thought about that target hitting B White guy? Or the (at lest at VFL level) target hitting Bailey Rice? Both of whom are running defenders. Let's instead go for a flaky in and o...

Quote from Richo: "it's positive and pleasing that we are really strong and committed to the process. We had a really positive and pleasing third quarter against Melbourne and if you discount the first quarter, as I have done, we won the game. Whitey has been very positive and pleasing and he ...

Re: POLL...Should White come in for Mav?
Voting closes in 2 days . Mav is a warrior, but is obviously injured and well below his best If that's the case - get your op done earlier and be ready for ore season. But .... There's probably a reason way GCS punted Mav. He's not that good, now is too heavy and slow and gets ahead of himself pret...

I have no idea hence, why I raised it. It's stupid. Very stupid. Kids and games when you're not going to make finals becomes that only thing you can meaningfully achieve.Teflon wrote:If there's no good reason......wtf is Richardson doing?
Nothing like St Kilda to know better and buck a trend.

Is our Match Committee f#%king drunk???
Not for the first time this year but, am I the only one? Why drop White? What has he done wrong since he's re-emerged? Hit targets by foot? Defended well? I know these are un-Gilbert like qualities but ffs - why are we not getting games into him? Has anyone on the aforementioned match committee watc...

Presume that comment's come with the career-long insight gained from your hands-on experience in the corporate sector? Or did you read that's how you're supposed 'think' in the Hun?Devilhead wrote:Isn't that how the majority of key high level decisions are made in the corporate world?

Unfortunately - we require so much effort and intensity because we're continually turning it over and chasing ar$e. But - when the other team brings intensity and effort - then we're stuffed .... because most teams don't turn it over nearly as much as us. BTW - you left "incredibly" out of...

Re: I want to see us tackle to hurt.
We're a good tackling side and maybe the coach emphasises pressure and tackling above other very important facets of the game. Such as: Getting the ball. Moving it quickly and directly. Converting this into goals. I think we CAN be a good tackling side - when we're on / seem interested / game plan ...

big fan of Sinclair, has that little bit of Robert Harvey in some of his movement/coolness in traffic, he wears the number well love his composure (and Ross'), just need some of that to rub off on Gresh to take his game up a couple of notches combines nicely with Billings too, having those two in a...

Fantastic couple of months of footy since switching to the wing and a good example of a player taking opportunity and not giving it up! But i think the message to me is more of our fringe players should be tried in different roles, there hasn't been enough experimentation!! I mean SInclair was only...

Re: Sinclair
Every possession of his is worth two really because of the way he uses it. Gun. Precisely. Excellent point. Especially when you see how often Geary, Gilbert (and sometimes Robbo & Webster) turn it over - often unforced. It's bloody hard to score when you don't have the ball. Not only does Jack ...

Haha a s*** bloke loading. + 25% +1000 - can't stand him. He's on a par with Toby Green as most punchable head in the AFL. I wonder what that complete turd's defence will be? Sorry your honour - normally my style is to just cannon blokes from behind when they're not looking. Surely I get a discount...

I'd probably offer him 3 x 270k. Or 260 2018 280 2019 300 2020 What if someone team offers him 500k? Do we match it?? That team will likely be from Adelaide. There is VERY strong interest in him. ... whcih s%its me to tears as I geuinely believe he's a part of our future. Makes good decisions, exce...

I am under the impression that Luke Davies-Uniake is the best mid in the draft. And we would want the best mid. Rayner Uniacke Fogarty Wouldnt it be better to get 2 of these than kelly? Imo yes. We wont be tol 4 next year and if we sacrifice growth we never will be. We have to go back to draft. God...

Re: So it is a DEVELOPMENT Season now.
The focus was clearly on making the 8 this year. Focus now needs to be on the future. This includes bother developing players, but also in trying out players. We need to keep sorting the wheat from the chaff too. We need to see how players go at senior level. Those players need to experience what i...

Dermie is right on this one. HE should have learnt something about the game after being at 3 CLUBS.  He also has 5 flags. Which is 5 x more than our entire club. Re: Worst StKilda team in 15 years
So here's the thing right. By some miracle, is it possible that with Rooy and Joey and Gilbo and Gears and one or two changes to this playing list, for this team to be pushing for a top 6 tilt and going deep into a finals series in 2018? So realistically, if we are 2-3 years away, and we are 6-7 pl...

Put a hard tag on Sloane and you beat Adelaide. If North and Melbourne can give them a hiding we can beat them. I may be a pessimistic 44yo life-long Saints fan but - is it just me or despite other teams practically giving us the blueprint as to how to beat Adelaide (i.e. sit a hard tag on Sloane a...
