I just think it's appalling that we weren't able to redevelop Moorabbin like originally planned. Moorabbin's far enough away from the city (and St Kilda) as it is, let alone the new joint. Crazy.

Can't believe he's 27! Wayne Carey's body was just about shot at 28 or so, wasn't it?

Not happy about this one. I can't see us ending up with someone as good as X with pick flippin' 60.

That's right. Our big men couldn't take marks, but we killed them everywhere else. It's just such a shame that our little men couldn't put away the simple chances.

Half an hour after we beat Geelong in round 14 a woman called up just to say "can you tell me what Raph Clarke gets a game?". We'd just beaten Geelong in the best game all year. What's with these people?!

The two Clarkes are both most effective when they run with the ball. That's wheat makes them worth having in the team. They don't do as well at the static stuff. I hope X makes a full recovery and return to the first team.

I doubt any of the players would have left the ground before the rest of the team. I did though - I heard the Geelong song a couple of times and wondered what the hell I was still doing sitting there.

Yeah I agree. Several players missed amazingly easy shots, but there's no point singling out individuals now.

Good to hear you got along and had a good time, Plugger. Shame it couldn't have been a brilliant night. When BJ went off he was holding his shoulder, so I assumed he'd broken his collar bone (as I did playing footy ten years ago). He came back on though, so I thought he might have been ok. I assume ...

It was good to get there and be amongst other Sainters who are also hurting. The scarf thing worked really well, so I hope that continues next year. Michael Roberts and all the players who spoke were great. Farewell Maxie.

I also thought the anthem had no impact. It wasn't exactly rousing, especially with that high pitched Frankie Valli bit.

The main problem was our goalkicking, obviously. If we'd kicked accurately we'd be premiers now.

I'd assume the ceremony might be over by 3:30, so you should at least be able to catch the second half! Sit at the back of the church with your radio, then nick off as soon as it's over!

Geelong's not very far from Melbourne. Surely they'd want to keep things as normal as possible and drive up in the morning...? If not, please call each of them individually in 3 or 5 hours. :)
