So the surface at TD isn't an issue?

From The Age website:- Worried Dons to monitor Telstra Dome surface by Carley Jellett. ESSENDON will investigate if the hard playing surface at Telstra Dome has contributed to its shocking run of soft-tissue injuries, coach Matthew Knights said yesterday. While Knights admitted it is "a fact&qu...

Help! Couple of Queries.

I have been trying to find a copy through the AFL website but have been unable to. Does anyone know of a link? Also, was there a 2007 membership pin or was it just the "believe or burn" one? I've kept all of the pins so far but can't find the 2007 one. My wife doesn't remember one either.

The problem is that they specifically state that there is no such thing as precedent when dealing with tribunal or MRP penalties. According to the AFL each penalty stands on its own and can't/shouldn't be compared. The problem is that people will always compare incidents and it leaves the AFL, tribu...

IIRC it was at the back of a stoppage. I think the incident caused a melee.

It was at least within 5 metres of the ball.

I'd rather we follow the new interpretation of the shepherding rules and that the G-Train actually lands a huge bump for once. The number of times I've seen him line someone up and miss......

My wife took one look at the fixture when it was announced Hall was going to the tribunal. She said he'll get seven weeks. When I asked her why she thought it would be seven she said, "Because he'll be back in time to play against us."

I thought she was joking.......

Hands in the Back rule

Does anybody know where in the Laws of the Game 2008 I can find this rule relating to marking contests? I haven't been able to find it. The only ones that come close are:- 15.3 Free Kicks Relating to Disposal of the Football 15.4.3 Permitted Contact Other than the Prohibited Contact identified under...

Given our strike rate at the tribunal over recent years, that's a certainty. :x

The well known issues with food, drink & parking prices aside; the fact that it seems that no steps are taken to make it feel like our home; as mentioned in this post. A home ground... What is it with the dome? On Saturday during the banner run-throughs, they played the Cats theme at full volume...

1st Quarter - All too easy. Everyone put in and the results showed. Rest of the game - All too hard. They pretty much all looked like they were waiting for someone else to make that extra effort to fire the team up again. That game was as bad as the day we got 10 goals up against the Hawks out at Wa...

A home ground....

I wasn't aware until tonight that clubs were allowed to do this, but if the AFL financial equivalent of a dirtfarmer can make a decent effort to make TD look like a home ground (Team flags on the posts around TD, Banners over all the entry gates and huge posters of club champions hanging from the TD...

jeez the ox is bad at this commentatoring gig, made no mention of his eyes being on the ball or even the ball in the area.... just said he was gone..... I think Mother Teresa (Malthouse) said it best*; "The earth is slow but the Ox is a moron." * Wording may have been slightly altered.

Key comment from the article: The Saints envisaged playing games at Carrara until the AFL had a team permanently based there. In other words, this is a short-term thing on our part, and would be for 2 years or 3 at the most. If we could make $3 million bucks over the next three years, it would help...

AFL just broke its own draft rules. Adelaide read out the incorrect player number, thereby creating an invalid selection. Dimwit backtracked 2 selections later and let them correct it.

Phones down at Moorabbin?

I've tried to contact the club on 1300 734 134 but their phone hangs up after 4 rings. If you call either the 9559-6688 or 9559-6699, it gives a message referring you back to the 1300 number.

Anyone got another number to contact them on?

What was the medical procedure Hird had done when was suffering all those stress fractures of the foot a few years back? I have a suspicion it involved, basically, supergluing the injury? It did seem to resolve that issue for him.
