From speaking to an avid Cats supporter from down here in Geelong, he also decsribes Gardiner as the "lead-up" type forward who might be able to do the hard yards across half forward/centre of the ground, allowing Riewoldt to stay closer to goal and have a bigger impact on the scoreboard....

I wouldn't call it topping up either... More like filling the gaps. As you have said, age certainly isn't something we should worry about, 3 players getting to their prime, and 1 in their prime. This trading period could be said to have been better than our 2001 bunch. Well done Ross and boys. AFL....

fiora drifted in and out of games way too much to get even close to blake's consistancy... !!!!!!????? They both had their days. Blake was no more consistent than Fiora over 2007. As OWTS says, # of games played has a big influenec on B&F scores. Blake is a good stopper on some weeks but if you...

Way to go Harves. You are indeed a champion in all forms.

You have so much influence to bestow on the young guns to ensure our club remains a key influence on the ladder.

Thanking you in advance of your published decision.

Genuinely a gutsy team man is Brett. I always enjoyed those games when you broke up the forward line or crossed in front of a tall oppo forward.

You will be missed. Enjoy your time with your family.

Re: ZERO from the current Board !!

The SFF group claim that they have approx 5,000 proxies in already. This is no doubt due to how quickly that got their message out to THE MEMBERS via mailout, text messages and their website. It has been argued over & over as to the content of the message but the simple facts are that they GOT ...

I think that's obvious fonz. One of the most annoying aspects of this site is people starting new threads on a subject already covered because they think their opinion is more important than others. New threads are nothing about what people think about their opinion IMO. I actually enjoy multiple t...

Yes no hacks agree but which players are you suggesting are hacks. We badly need a midsize leading , marking fwd. I think we should look Kayne Pettifer. 2007 stats: 22 Games for 357 Disposals = 16.22 ave 37 Goals from 22 Games = 1.68 Goals per game. Milne Stats: 22 Games for 270 Disposals = 12.27 a...

Seaby was one I recommended about 3 years ago. He was a star for West Perth at the time but we continued to enlist hacks.

Now we have such a reputation for hacks as rucks I dont value rucks anymore. Caaaarlton obviously like our hacks.

I usually hope for one side to win, and some not to. Been to a couple of grand finals in one of the sides colours (due to friends, family support etc) I did this once. It was the 1979 GF and I wore some Blue and bought a couple of Jesaulenko badges at the time. This was only to rile the 5 Collingwo...

Yes, when you consider our much easier draw than in 2006, making an EF once again would have flattered our performance. In rounds 21-22 last season, we were guaranteed a place in the 8 and were still an outside chance of making the top 4. Truth to tell, this season we lost to, or struggled to beat,...

Well if the Hawks knock off the Swans we are going to miss the 8 by %. So that Dogs draw is looking very costly now as the extra 2 points would have been handy. should haves...count for naught.....but dropping that game and the Pies match should not have happened. Early in the season we were ...

Maybe so, maybe not. But Rod Buttress said "We've never been closer to a premiership" - I wonder what he meant by that? What would he know? Isn't he the bloke with no balls? We are at least a year away from a premiership and we need to learn to play quarters or we will suffer the same con...

The kitty litters realised their forward structure was crap in previous years and fixed in in 2007. Will we realise our midfield has no depth and fix that. Lets wait and see. Le...

Shithouse. Typical Collingwood - but what did we expect? Come on, we should never have put our final preparation into the hands of another team. Look at the games we lost over the year. Several were thrashings that caused the poor percentage. The draw against the Bulldogs was just not acceptable. I...
