Kosi Injury

I am really surprised not to have seen this anywhere else on the forum but does anyone know any injury info on Kosi?

It looked like he may have done some damage to his calf on Friday night and he took himself straight off the ground with a slight limp not long into the final quarter.

Steven a chance for Mini, but Stanley will get smashed in the ruck by NicNat. Besides, selection after 3 possies in the VFL sets a bad precedent IMO. Stanley in the ruck against Natanui might not be a bad idea. Stanley is very athletic and using him to try and combat Natanui's athleticisim might wo...

Fines are generally issued for wrestling. I can't recall a player ever being suspended for wrestling.

Bakes was involved in afew incidents last night. We will find out later today if any of them are of any concern.

Probably get done for wrestling. I think he has learnt his lesson on how far he can go.

Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Kosi and whay he can do. Over the first 8 rounds we have seen some good and some bad from him, and whilst the last few weeks haven't been great, what we saw last night was an huge improvement. Wasn't our best on ground but took a couple of great marks (...

Re: Gram?

Unfortunately, because he participated in the warm up, they were unable to replace him with one of the emergencies. Obviously Gram felt that he was fine to play as our medical staff don't usually let our players back on at all in this situation. In the past players have been replaced after particip...

It's harder to tell based on the TV coverage I will admit. Yet it seems we always look for a marking option and kick short even if it's not there. At one stage last night, we had the ball on the HFF about 55m out. Gardy and Kossie in the goal square and McEvoy floating down about 20 meters out. 3 b...

Timeslot also has alot to do with it. Monday nights are crap and Sunday twilight isn't much better.

Yes they are better timeslots for some people, but the majority of the footy public don't like them.

Re: Gram?

Was injured during warm up. Didn't expect to see him come on at all and was surprised that he did. If you noticed him on the bench in the second half, you would have seen he was heavily iced up. I am surprised more hasn't been made of this. I was sitting above the players race and towards the end o...

Just heard on SEN that Jessie Smith will be playing footy this weekend ..... Dont know if its true or if he will be playing for Sandy ...Reserves ...or just having a kick in the park ... Given that it was heard on SEN, lets not get too excited until it happens. If he does play then it is great for ...

LOL Moods - I remember thinking at the time, 'Ooh. I bet a few L3 ticket holders would burn seeing this.' As to the posts above, I think incorrect. Certain games are 'scan' games, others are reserved seat only. You can still rock up and scan in, but you'll have to scan at the ticket booth not the g...

I thought it was correct. The 'pressure' was absolutely minimal. If you want conspiracy theories, they may have done it to cover the fact they potentially cost the Saints a match last week by making a legitimate incorrect decision for the same thing. Both were free kicks. Sorry RF neither was a fre...

Is there a pre/after match function in Sydney round 1?

Hi all, A few months ago there was talk that the 'Saints in your city' trips were replacing all official after match functions. I have done some web searching and can not find any information to suggest that there will be a function (other than the expensive river cruise) pre or post the Round 1 gam...

FYI, Gate 1 & 3 were open for the soccer on Tuesday night, but the livewire area looks to have been untouched since Saturday's storms (I didn't go in, I was just wwlking past so I don't know the state of things inside). According to the victory website level 3 was also still closed due to the st...

They didn't get stuck.

The 'public' were not allowed on level 2, however security were.

Any ball that went up to level 2 was retrieved within afew minutes and returned to the bag of balls.

Got a call early afternoon from a mate (Geelong supporter) who wanted to go to visy park to see the Cats v Lions game. Agreed to go as long as he came along to Etihad afterwards. Parked the car on Royal Pde at about 2:50, just as it started to belt down. Sat in the car for about 10 mins before decid...

they were taken down at quarter time. When the ball went on to level 2 they just used a ball from the bag of balls behind the goals until security retrieved the ball that went to level 2.

Don't forget there is still going to be this thing called a "salary cap".... Thats the problem, there is one that is not enforced and with so many loop holes it's not funny, they need to tighten the reigns in on the salary cap and disallow third party payments, the guareenteed return prop...
