Re: Round 1 side
Be fun watching Zaine and Hawkins sprint for the ball all by themselves in the F50. Must be a chance NWM could amble up from the centre and stroll past them before they got near it. Actually I'd expect them to fall over each other. Hawkins would of course dispute the play on call and beg for a free...

Re: Match discussion thread - Nth Melb practice match
Such a damn shame about losing Dougal and Webster from our backline for the first part of the season - they have worked together for years and are considered one of the best back-lines in the comp.

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
I imagine the current list management and coaching staff will see that there is no benefit in dumping him right now so we'll just have to see how it pans out, and surely they will have plans in place for whatever eventuates. It's not as if this is a new issue per se.

Re: Training Reports
Most over rated player on our list now that Billings and Gresh have left. Sprays it left right and centre. Will play one good game every four and then get injured. Just can't rely on him to be healthy, and when he did get healthy, I recall Ratts being very critical of hime because he just couldn't ...

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
Don't 'worry', we are on a build and an exciting one at that. For those who saw the recent David King and Kane Cornes discussion/argument will know Cornes has really lost the plot regarding St Kilda, I'm sure he actually pissed himself when King suggested St Kilda will make the eight and might sneak...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
I cant believe posters are happy to write him off because of where he was drafted. To acheive the ultimate sucess we need all our recruits to get the best out of themselves and have sucessful careers. I understand all wont make it but we need to be picking the right kids who give themselves the bes...

Re: Who will debut early?
Physicality was on the bill for this morning’s testing match simulation at RSEA Park, however it was the silk of Lance Collard which was arguably the standout six weeks out from St Kilda’s season opener. The small forward’s flashes of speed and agility were on full display during the Saints’ three m...

Re: Saints players rated out of 100
Not too bad as an opinion but I'd make some changes. Personally I would prefer to group them into individual match form, potential, consistency and overall team influence, after all it is a 'team' even if it's made up of individuals.

Re: Bet the house on Ross
That's an interesting comment. Seems like the press have found something to stick their boots into. Now Ross has too much power. I wonder if the same could be said of other successful coaches? Let the media stick their boots in, it's probably going to take a few generations to end it, and that's if...

Tim Meyers Mongrel Punt St Kilda Preview
Starts off with the reminder that the Saints were undervalued in 2023 and now 2024 media speculations through to substantial evaluations of Henry/Hill, King, Howard and Marshall as an entree. 3300 word count for free but you need to cough up a few dollars for more. https://themongrelpunt.com/afl-sea...

SEN just broke the news No news stories I can find yet, but some will remember this Caroline Wilson piece last july: 'Saints deny talk of ‘disharmony’ behind the scenes... but a great fears a grim reality has set in' https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/st-kilda-saints/afl-2023-st-kilda-saints-dis...

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
Right now Sportsbet has St Kilda at $2.50 to make the 8 (11th), and $8 for top 4 - a good time to place a few hard-earned on both options!! I haven't bet for years but with those odds it's very tempting. By the way I read this earlier today; “700+ GOALS”: MOONEY’S BOLD PREDICTION FOR ST KILDA FORWA...

Re: Time trial
Hill doesn't just get the ball given to him and slap it on his boot. He uses his agility to make time and space for those down the field. A knee injury will effect this greatly. It became obvious when he was constantly over running and getting caught or corralled. He did seem disinterested or dishe...

Surely Jay Clark's assumptions are embellished regarding what the coaching staff believe. I would have thought they already would have decided what each player needs to work on, bar none.

The board has improved, much less b*tching and easier to navigate since you became moderator. Your openness, current methods and interest in ongoing improvements tells me we are in good hands. I would say good riddance to a few that have bolted to BF and hope many of the others will drift back.
