IMO Dal's best years were when we had all those inside mids and he was used more as an outside midfielder. It's nice that he's able to get his own ball now but IMO he should be the one finishing the work of the inside mids rather than creating it.

We need a minimum of five games at the G next year. Watching games at Etihad and comparing them to games we play at the G you can definitely see the confidence level in our skills and ball movement go down. We move the ball with the best of them at Etihad, but at the MCG we look a lot slower.

Saints fans came out in force this finals. Even in the game against the Bulldogs in a crowd of almost 80,000, apart from the Bulldogs cheer squad I didn't see much blue. And during the Grand Final whenever a Geelong chant started, a St Kilda one did as well and was much louder.

I'm hoping Steven or Geary can be our running defender. Raph has had plenty of chances but this year has showed his decision making is slow, is slow in general and his ball use just isn't anywhere near where it should be for someone that plays his role.

According to the saints facebook there were approximately 9000 people there. A fantastic turnout and Michael Roberts was good as well. Absolutely shattered by Max's decision, but we need to look forward. 2010 can't come quick enough!
