I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Howard is an absolute liability.

Re: Spud's Game Match Thread - vs Brisbane @ Marvel - Round 15
Can’t we cop a break in this stupid game. Where is the midfield? You had 37 seconds to defend that quarter and we still let them take a breazy clearance to a goal.
FFS, this is just a carbon copy of last season.

Re: When the game was there to be won…
Yeah but if McCartin had become a gun for us it wouldn't hurt as much. The following scenario below was as likely as the one you describe in your post above If Scott Watters was a premiership coach for St Kilda we wouldn't have had to put up with 6 years of mediocrity under Alan Richardson Nah, I d...

Re: When the game was there to be won…
Criticizing not picking Petracca is fine in hindsight. But not in context. We had 1 KPF player under 30 (Josh Bruce, 4 goals the previous year) when we went to the McCartin/Petracca draft. I don't buy the 'character' issues with Petracca, but if you throw that in as a layer of doubt, the decision m...

Re: When the game was there to be won…
Good on the Tiges. Made all the right decisions and cleaned up with three flags. Meanwhile we dicked around at Seaford with half-arsed draft picks and clueless nice guy coaches. Those were not half arse draft picks. Petracca & Bontempelli together would have won this game. When you have low dra...

Re: Membrey
The club has failed him.
Should have played in more finals than the COVID hub year.
For a period, he was our only lead-up forward, despite being mid-sized.

Re: In the light of day
Watched replay of DeGoey's On The Couch interview. Mentioned despite the large salary offer he did not think St Kilda could deliver the results available to him by staying at Collingwood (even with him playing for StKFC). He also mentioned he believed he knew a lot about football and that its enjoy...

Re: In the light of day
Still effing pissed at the Saints. First the Hawks and the now the Tigers. What other bottom six teams will magically become “on the rise” when we face them? Knowing us, we’ll lose to WCE and the footy world will be abuzz with their new found form. FFS, RTB is our coach and yet we’re still letting H...

Re: Howard
Howard needs to be dropped IMO.
A few good 1%s here and there doesn’t change the fact that he’s consistently getting beaten one on one and lacks accountability.
Yes, dropping means Danniher could dine out on Howard’s replacement, but that will likely happen with Howard as his opponent anyway.

Re: Apology
Last night I said there were know all tossers on this website. Sorry I should not post when watching the Saints as I am usually disappointed or frustrated. Worse on TV than live. I’m probably the worst offender on this forum. I actually think the passion is refreshing. Things won’t change if we kee...

Re: In the light of day
We blew it. Plain and simple. There was a kick in it circa 4 min to go and despite all of our 50m entries, we just couldn’t score. In the end, they won by 20 points and were 5th and they were 12th. No other top 8 team would accept this as anything other than an extremely disappointing result. It’s t...

Re: Topline midfielders through the national daft
I’m also of the view that there is A grade and there is elite. Elite is that level where a player could take a game by the scruff of the neck and almost single handley pull the team over the line. Hayes was that and so was Goddard. Dal & Joey were certainly A grade, but not at that level. Steven...

Re: Billings Mackenzie Jones........
All would be handy, but none would be the answer. Billings will never live up to the potential his early draft selection says he should. Showed enough raw talent early, but we’ve seen his best. Maybe we developed him poorly, we’ll never know. Jones is our new X Clarke. Lots of potential, but just wh...

Re: Topline midfielders through the national daft
I would argue Jack Steven was A grade. Beyond that, we just can’t identify midfield talent and it’s become a huge problem.
We spent the last 10 years chasing an elite mid and yet we still have a workmanlike midfield at best.

Re: When the game was there to be won…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, St Kilda are just a sh**ty football club. Why bother then? Calling it how I see it. We have historically been a shabbily run organisation, we are a founding party of the VFL let the least successful or all the Vic clubs and we’ve burnt the last 10 years on...

Re: I think RTB has a test on front of him!
Bloody oath he does.
I think we’re in danger of losing at least 3 of the next 4. Even WCE isn’t a cert, as we’ll likely be playing them when they’re due for a win.
