Thank you Stephen Fry!

Just saw the great man Stephen Fry on the ABC. He was very entertaining and stimulating. More importantly, for at least a couple of hours I completely forgot about the terrible events of yesterday and was reminded that there is more to life than football.

Thank you Stephen!

If I ever get to meet him the first thing I will do is thank him for cheering me up immensely in this dark time.
I'm truly grateful!
I'm going to see if I can get the DVD of this show for other family members especially my younger sister who just loves the guy.

Really hard to express the miracle worked just from watching and listening to him.

I saw him live at the Regent in Melbourne and can honestly say it was the most entertaining 2 hours I have ever witnessed.

i have recorded last night's tv show and look forward to seeing it.

I watched him too and he completely took my mind off Saturday's game. I was surprised to see that others on here did too. He's also very good on "Qi" at 9.30pm on Tuesday nights - never miss it!

Yeah, the guy in "House" Hugh Laurie, is actually English.
Did sketch comedy with Fry back in the Cambridge days. Older people will remember a show in the early '90s "A Little Bit of Fry and Laurie". Hilarious!

I liked him in Blackadder.

His series on the USA was very insightful.

May I ask, is this thread St.Kilda related at all? Did he reveal himself as being a Saints fan?

It is St Kilda-related because I was in absolute despair about the Grand Final until I watched him . He worked a miracle and I was trying to cheer up other suffering sainters.

ILPK, no problems about a Stephen Fry thread whatsoever.

Q&A is also quite a good program. He was also very good as Oscar Wilde in the 90's film simply titled 'Wilde'.

To come to think about it, I reckon he'd have what it takes to be a Saints fan.

It made me realise there's other things besides footy plus a long summer coming. Don't worry, the passion still burns.

Just caught up with a show called "Jeeves & Wooster". It stars Fry & Laurie. Looks to have been released around 1990. It's quite funny, very dry, but quite good.

Yeah that's the tv version of the P.G. Wodehouse books about the young gentleman Bertie Wooster and his butler Jeeves.

Hilarious!
