It's bad for the soul! Our players have just fallen short in 4 grand finals in 54 weeks, their moral is already shot.Dr Spaceman wrote:It's a training facility FFS!jonesy wrote:The picture Seaford painted in my head was of a nice, slightly upper class bayside suburb, then I ventured into the housing market and saw it...
Wowee, that suburb would have to be the worst outer suburb in Melbourne. If it wasn't bayside you might as well burn it down. I got flash backs of some of the terrible streets I'd see when I was living in Darwin....at least Darwin has coconut trees and Gecko's to keep you amused.
Why would any of the players want to travel out there. It's common sense to not want to
No one asking any of the players to live there
Far too many assumptions there jonesy!jonesy wrote:It's bad for the soul! Now next year they are being forced to drive down there everyday, looking at broken down VL commodores in the front of yards, fat slob single Mum's walking to Maccas with 5 kids in tow. Might as well call it Moe
I'll tell you in a few months,I'm moving down there haha!Dr Spaceman wrote:Far too many assumptions there jonesy!jonesy wrote:It's bad for the soul! How do you know they're single?
If they go too far and drive into the Pines its their own fault. though i doubt that they would be coming via Dandenong so shouldn't make that mistake.jonesy wrote:It's bad for the soul! The home games for GWS will be in Western Sydney.Ice Wolf wrote:If they go too far and drive into the Pines its their own fault. though i doubt that they would be coming via Dandenong so shouldn't make that mistake.jonesy wrote:It's bad for the soul! I hear you Seaford_Saint.Seaford_Saint wrote:Not suprisingly by my nickname, I do live in Seaford.
I find it just staggering how many people look down their nose at our suburb.
What turns you off about the following??
- Living in a cul de sac 400 meters from a beautiful pristine beach
- Trains only 10 minute walking distance
- The best steaks served south of the Yarra at the Riv Hotel
- More Saints supporters in a single suburb than anywhere else I have ever come across ( 9 of the 12 houses in our street are keen Saints fants)
- Good schools a 15 minute drive away
- The ability to buy good large properties with enough room to house your cars and toys (boats / jetskis / caravans) for half that of most other suburbs
- A 10 minute bike ride with the family to go and watch the Saints train each week
Oh yeah... and not one single mother in our street! (and to be honest, I couldn't care less if there was).
So many of you on here are just a bunch of snobs!
I agree with you, I've never really heard anything bad about Seaford.Seaford_Saint wrote:Not suprisingly by my nickname, I do live in Seaford.

I think you'll find the snobs that count are the players and they are not happy.SainterK wrote:All very good points Seaford Saint, I drove through there to have a look at the new facilities and I don't get what the fuss is about.
I fail to comprehend the issue anyway, the reality is the players will be training, eating, socialising inside the facility anyways.
I also find people are being very snobbish on here, ya big snobs! :P
No traffic lights whatsoever? You've never been there, have you?ChicagoSaint wrote:'pends what time of day.Ice Wolf wrote:Going via Eastlink and then the Monash i'd say 35 to 40 mins to the CBDBernard Shakey wrote:CBD to Seaford cannot be done in 21.5 minutes, It is nearly 40km as the crow flies.ChicagoSaint wrote:Like I said on the previous page, if you'd care to scroll back Sir,
I'd question the accuracy of the quoted figures on travel time.
1. Because I know for a fact that it takes less time than that quote and,
2. If we all relied on GPS and didn't take into account that things change over time we'd all be stuck in a blogging cave.
I maintain that Seaford to the CBD is approx. 21.5 mins
EDIT:
3. It can be done in 10mins with no respect for the speed limit.
You are talking garbage.
40-55 via the Frankston Fwy and then Nepean
Although you could reach most of the Southern and Eastern suburbs and most of the Peninsula within 30 mins.
don't forget the extra lane on citylink and that flow is in opposite direction.
off-peak Seaford to CBD is under 30mins CBD to Seaford off-peak is approx. an extra 4mins.
it can not be forgotten that one experiences no traffic lights whatsoever.
Fair call......didn't one of your greatest ever footballers eminate from Seaford?Seaford_Saint wrote:Not suprisingly by my nickname, I do live in Seaford.
