PS Sandringham begane pre season training began last night
Thanks Zebra
Training at Sandy 's first training run last night was exdemon, exscorpion, exzebra Danny Hughes and if not drafted AFL will possibly return to Sandringham. , still only 22 Danny has a lot to offer.
Many new faces and as I had a meeting early could only recognize a few newies, Brett Dore (Dolphins,Nar Nar Goon) has a solid frame for his young age and new ressies Coach John Georghiou getting envolved.
Around 50 at first night inc. v.c David Gallagher looking fit and rarrin ' to go.
Training returns are decided by years of service not by the guys who played in the GF however as no young guys played in the GF then they will be back early December as will a few older guys who missed out on the GF. Others will return last week in November.

Why? Because they are? St Kilda are a mature team, Collingwood are basically a young team. Its not one size fits all, and the Saints have come back in excellent condition the past few years, so why change it now.

Collingwood are NOT back
only their young players are................and they finished training in September
.......the seniors and G/F team are not back till december.
Unlike the saints who had almost the whole squad training right up to G/F 2
they may be back together next week but only because they have a reservation in America.

Plus the soft draw they had means they weren't very tired at the end anyway!
ST KILDA Resume training: Wednesday, November 24 GRAND FINAL Team DEc 6th -
Snapshot: The entire St Kilda squad trained throughout September, despite the VFL side missing the finals. Given that, and the drawn grand final, the youngest players won't return to the track until November 24. Most of the squad will return the following week. The club won't have a camp before Christmas but may take a short break upon resuming.
Medical room: A few players have had minor surgery although Justin Koschitzke - who battled an ankle injury for much of the season - is probably the most significant. St Kilda doesn't expect too many to be absent from training for too long.
NAB Cup opener: February 18 v Essendon and the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium

According to rumours, a couple of them got a few shots away not long after GF2
Is there any sort of evidence to suggest that going back to training earlier makes you better? You've got months to digest any changes to staff, players and gameplan. I fail to see the massive benefits of an extra week or two. There's plenty of time for top players to get in peak shape for the start of the season. The trick is keeping them there.
