My dad had a gambling problem!!

and im not upset over this...

Think about the money for the stkilda footy club.

You're either a gambler or not, just becaue they advertise isnt going to make someone who isnt a gambler a sudden gambler...

If you're strong willed then you wont gamble just because they are our sponsor

However i have just read the tigers are 6 million in debt and have a gambling sponsor... Did the club make a big gamble or should they double or nothing?

Agree Batnoe.

If any St Kilda supporter doesn't gamble but now starts gambling, or gambles a little but but will now gamble more, simply because their club has a logo on it's jumper, then they have really big issues anyway.

For those who do have a little bit on games, will simply swing them over to Centrebet more than it will create new people betting.

Of course that should be a "logo" on the jumper

great post batnoe. im not pro gambling. im just saying that the issue is a bigger and more complex one than the saints sponsorship arrangement.
just "banning stuff" has never been the best solution to an issue. as long as players/coaches/umpires and afl officials keep their noses clean and away from the trough.

at the end of the day - its just a badge on a jumper.

Wow with gambling now involved the Saints major sponsor history now sounds like a Saturday afternoon in the 80's :D

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

plugger66 wrote:Would we care if CUB sponsored us. I doubt it and even though gambling effects a small percentage, drinking would effect a lot more. Not many die because of gambling but plenty do because of the drink.

Its a way of the club getting money. Surely we dont have to use their product because they sponsor us.
Not that I care but gambling drives people to drink....they go hand in hand...
