the Ultimate Compliment for a Player

Post: # 1043489Post saintbrat »

heard on radio tonight;
"almost Goddard like" - although a ways to go But if he ever gets close he'll be great-"
is this the ultimate compliment- and how many Saints players present or past would have been honoured this way...

May have been Bevan was certainly Swans player=- wasn't Ball as he turned the ball over was the third quarter..

But didn't really listen to who my hearing is as one-eyed as my vision....

so any other names- Lockett like would have to have been used at some time wouldn't it?

Harvey like I've heard a few times, but you are right Saintbrat, there wouldn't be many saints spoken off in that way

In that case, it's the ultimate insult then! Essendon haven't got anyone 'Goddard-like'.

Oh shichyeah.

Actually, I've always thought Gary Rohan from the Swans has a bit of Goddard about him...he laid a very Goddard-esque tackle on BJ last year that impressed me no end. I like him a lot. And he looks like the ranga in the Patties Pies ad.

Everyone should know better than to bite when JohnWeenerTugManClub posts. It's not savory and quite frankly beneath our station. :idea:

Sad knob.

Either its a Saints forum or its not. If you want the view of other supporters go to Bigfooty.

Budgiesmugglers has been abusing Saints fans on here for years and getting away with it.

Not to mention the PM from him wishing that one of our players would "rot in hell"

I honestly can't understand why anyone would bother making more than the occasional visit to the forum of another club's fans. Some people clearly have too much time on their hands. Personally I don't care about anything other than St Kilda when it comes to footy.
