The Duck want to coach

Post: # 1094934Post Behind Play »

I heard this morning that Wayne Carey is interested in seeking a coaching job.
I don't think the Saints have anything to lose by gaining his experience to assist Roo.
The Duck would have alot to offer, if he is fairdinkum.

you've heard of rug rats...these two are root rats.......most of the players would be more worried about cary rooting their partners than partnering up with our kimmie.....

Didn't he do a bit of work with Collingwood a few years back? Was very impressive if I recall ...

Whatever you think of his morals (which are irrelevant in this context IMO), his football ability was second to none. One of the best to ever play the game, and a great football brain.

Would have him at the Saints in a heartbeat as an assistant.

Ease the financial burden by paying him in wives.

Win win.

wouldn't be the first coach...or the last...to be screwing a few players girlfriends/wives whilst the players were otherwise engaged.....f**** the club in the end...would not have the prick anywhere near the place.....

Not just r**ting. He also did some wife b*ating.

Having said that - he seems to have cleaned up his act (on the surface anyway probably when he realised he needed $$) but we arent coaching a boys choir - so yes I would certainly look at him. Lord know we need a forward coach. Ross lyon certainly cant coach people to kick goals.

Still strolls around town like an A grade flog, trying to hook into girls half his age at clubs and bars...

But Monday to Friday, 9-5, I'd like to have him showing Roo and our young forwards to art of power/body play... Something that we have lacked in recent times...

As good as Roo is/has been, he has lacked that one on one physical aspect... He has the size and stength to improve this part of his game, even at his age now...

I heard that he was interested in helping Roo out and working with the our fowards, and he is supposed to be very good at coaching. If he sticks to coaching and his wondering willy is locked up then it might be a good move by us to get him

The problem is has a really astute football brain and sometimes I find myself agreeing with him.

But as to the rest of his "lifestyle" choices, I dunno.............

Our forward line functionality is my pet dislike...hasn't worked since Gehrig fell out.

If Carey could improve this then I don't see the dilema. Personal lives are just that, professionalism is what we should stand for.

Well from this females perspective, it's a no!

Yes, he may have a great football brain, but I don't think we need someone at the Club who has domestic violence, drugs, alcohol and infideility issues.

IMO he's the next gary ayres, maybe a great player but its all about him.

He'll be the coach, it will be about his achievement as coach etc.

Lethal Matthews was the one of the great players of all time, but when he coached, it was all about his players.

I can't see from what's been said and done, that would translate to carey doing anything for anyone else.

I think that's what got Terry Wallace undone, and why Voss, as great a player as he was, isn't translating that to his players.

Paul Roos was all about his players, kevin sheedy, was all about his players, even Malthouse, as big a dick as he is, is all about his players, Bomber thompson followed the $$ but while he was at the cats, was cats through and through. Gary Ayres was all about Gary Ayres, I can't ever see a flog like Cary being anything else than about carey.

Maybe essendon has gone off the boil now they have two root rats doing the wags? I hear Jimmy is into Megan Gale and has been for some time while Bomber was doing his best to spread the love down the highway. Classy joint.
