I have us finishing 6th or 7th, but that is based on predictable results for the rest of the season, which as we know wont happen. There will be upsets most weeks, but I still feel we'll finish from 6th to 8th.
If we drew Freo in the first week as the home team, would they play it at Etihad. I would imagine they would due to the crowd numbers probably not exceeding 50,000. Does it work like that ?
Sydney in Sydney will be a huge game for us. Win, and we will probably finish 6th and have home advantage, lose and we could be travelling back to Sydney for first final.

Almost agree, I smell 2007 all over again...I have us winning all but the Collingwood game and finishing in 7th, taking on the Swans in Sydney. I've done the predictor over and over the last month and get the same result. Problem is, I think the Dogs will win almost all theirs, Essendon and Melbourne a reasonable amount too.
The only potential 'flop' I can see is Freo, even then I think they're good enough to regain form and win more than predicted.

Hmmm...only took a couple of hours prove that theory correct. Unfortunately, I think Essendon, Freo and Sydney will win just enough games to stay in the top 8, Bulldogs being the next most likely, followed by us.
Not really. freo have a harder draw than Sydney and will lose enough for us to pass them if we win what we expect to win plus the Sydney game. The win by Freo today hopefully gets us 6th spot now.

Syd very shaky. They've lost 4 of their last 5 matches. Ess, Dogs and Freo seem to have got their stuff sorted. 8 point games against Syd and Freo coming up. Probably going to need 12.5 wins to make the finals with the bottom 3 teams being uncompetitive.
freo have west coast and hawks
melb have hawks and geelong
we have crows and gc
if freo lost today and lost the above two, with melbs losing both of the above as well with us getting up in both of ours, then we would of been 6th after the GC game.
but we also would have had to rely on north beating the dogs, that games on now

essendon very lucky the crows shot themselves in the foot.
are not likely imo. will see how jobe's return affects them.
but think we have to beat carlton to make it.
