Do some poeple only look at the hitout stats?

Serious?
Yep, good point. IMO, and a lot of other AFL fans, the rucks stats are the most over-rated stat in the game - apart from 'inside 50's'.

Not much use any ruckman getting a heap of hitouts if his mids dont get clearances.
Give me a ruckman like Ben who takes strong defensive and linking marks around the ground.

I was also impressed with Clint Jones. He is a lot better player than I realised. He was in the midfield contests and doing a lot of the grunt work that we've relied on Lenny Hayes or Luke Ball for. His disposal has always concerned me, but a quick and crude clearance is a big plus in a tough situation. Unlike Luke Ball, Clint has a heap of stamina, he gets to a lot of contests. He deserves 'two' votes!

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Well the CJ is meant to be BJ as in Brendan Goddard, but thanks for your constructive input into the role of Clint Jones.
