Almost over at Cat land - Swans are up. They might end up hosting a final up there. Saints need to win - not just to make sure of making the finals, but also need to beat Carlton the week after (assuming Swans beat Lions) to make sure we don't travel to Sydney for first final.
So - we REALLY need to win both of the next 2 games.
Interesting times.
I reckon we can do it.
GO SAINTS!!!
Maybe we need to beat Sydney, get thrashed by Carlton and assume Essendon will thrash Port. We could then finish 8th and have a home final against Carlton.

we aint going far in finals at any rate - has this side got out of second gear all year other than to beat up lower sides? Im amazed at those that think we will morph into saints 09 in a few weeks...
Lets face facts, our best are just going....and have been all year, we are witnessing a side that is at best a 7-8th side and the ladder will reflect that.
The ONLY thing a final does is give some kids - aka McEvoy, Armitage, Steven a chance on the big stage.....the rest are injured ayway.
Oh but the Swans were a s*** team and we were SO SO substandard last week...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Stole their first win off us earlier this season by half a goal, when we were kinda pissweak.
Carlton may be able to beat St Kilda boys but they can't beat St Kilda MEN.

Pretty sure we'll be playing Carlton minus a few too. They have nil to do but nurse themselves through (?)
