Not happy with it being cut short but very impressed with Watters...comes across as a clear thinker, very articulate and loved the fact he said he has admired the playlist from a distance and that there will always be a place for Robert Harvey who he spoke about with great respect...Very excited for the future again

Absolutely that word 'we' will make a big difference also he mentioned abt. the issues 'we' had 2 years ago makes all to fell that Scott was a part of St. Kilda fro long time ago.

Truely well spoken guy. Will find out more once we lsiten to the full interview

very professional and approachable.

spoke of the himself and the club as "WE", massive difference compared to lyon who always approached it as they or the St kilda football club.

very excited at hearing that youth will be mixed in with the veterans and given every opportunity. Hoping that next year we have atleast 2-3 players with 20 games and under experience in the team.

Admires our defensive work, need to evolve our game plan over pre season as well as the next 2-3 years. wouldn't get into specifics but plans to have many layers to the game plan he has in mind.

Scott has set high goals for the team ON and OFF the field.Wants the club to be professional and be a leader in both categories in the afl.

Also said that he was looking forward to sitting down with Robert Harvey as he is an esteemed member of the club and has plenty to offer.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

From what I saw on Fox, I was impressed, spoke well, was easily understood and as mentioned kept referring to we, not I and was more concerned with the future, not the past.
When's our first training session? I trust a few from here will be there to report on any noticeable changes.

As others have mentioned he spoke about "WE" as if he'd been a Saints man all his life.

Also said that Robert Harvey will always have a place at St.Kilda and will sit down and talk with him.

Interested also that he mentioned the development of the list not only with the young guys, but said there could be improvement at all levels, and that the focus would be on the whole list - and improvement throughout.

Implied there would be changes to the gameplan.

:D

Malthouse did say the Saints looked like they needed a cuddle. He said it in an article in today's Age where he highly endorsed Watters' selection.

I too am very impressed with what I heard. Look forward to the rest.

Yes....very smart

even when discussing historical events...he still used 'us' & 'we' rather than 'they'

giving the idea that he is already part of the group and sees himself as a sainter
